need to call up a center unless Frolik plays center.

Bet Frolik plays with Bolland and Kane even though it should be Stalberg getting the bump. 3rd line is fucked anyways without Shaw so mine aswell put Stalberg up in the second line on LW. That's what I would do anyways.

Carcillo's ice time will go up and the 3rd line will look different with whoever gets called up.

Good test for the coaching staff this one. Going to be a different look on Friday. Going to be very interesting.

Don't forget Frolik and Hossa most-likely will be back. Pirri seems like a better option to me.

Saad-Toews-Hossa

Carcillo-Bolland-Kane

Bickell-Kruger-Stalberg

Mayers-Pirri-Frolik

Something like that wouldn't surprise me. Right when you think you have depth...

Wouldn't surprise me to see them call up Smith either instead of Pirri and have a 4th line of Smith-Mayers-Frolik... I'd actually like that better.

mayers can play center and brookbank could remain a 4th line forward. might not even need a call up even though they have to.

just throwing it out there. im not a big fan of the shaw injury as it kills the 3rd line which has been amazing. I have enough confidence in kruger I suppose but he is no Shaw when it comes to aggressive offensive play. Dont get me wrong i like what Kruger has done this year as a shut down forward and on the PK.

I actually think its harder to recover from losing Shaw than Sharp. Crazy talk?

Not at all, because Shaw, not Saad is making Sharp expendable...

lol. I just really have enjoyed the Hawks third line. It sucks having it broken up due to Shaws injury. I reaaaally have loved that line. Sharps obviously extremely important and the team will miss him. Carcillo or Sadd can not make up for the loss of Sharp.

How do they replace Carcillo on the 1st line when he gets moved back to the 3rd or 4th. That's the real issue here...

my heads going to explode.

Saad/Toews/Hossa

Stalberg/Bolland/Kane

Carcillo/Kruger/Bickell

Frolik/Mayers/Call up/Brookbank

Thats what I a non NHL coach would start with. So when Q doesn't go that way I won't be shocked. Until the Hawks start paying me to build lines then im shit out of luck. I figure the LWers can be rotated up and down the lines. The RW should stay as is. Don't under estimate Stalberg he has played top 2 minutes all season last year. Has played with all those guys.

dont listen to Tons lines he has Lwers on the RW and vice versa hes drunk.

I dont think the call up is that important.

I would prefer Stalberg on the top two lines too TCD, my post was based on what I think they would do, not on what I want. Too bad there are only 21 Russians in the league, otherwise if there were 59 like there were 10 years ago it would be easier to trade for one.

hahaahahaha indeed.

Just further concern is if Hossa does have the flu hes not going to be feeling 100% on Friday either so its injuries and guys not feeling at their best also. I wouldn't be shocked if other players are sick also. Its not even a given that Hossa and Frolik will play Friday. If not Hossa then sorry the streak is over. Can't see the Hawks winning without Hossa, Sharp and Shaw for 60 full minutes.

Unless Hossa coughed on some Avs during warm up before leaving the ice (if it is the flu the "upper body injury" reported weirded me out. If they start calling the flu "upper body injuries" then I give up on NHL injury updates.

if Stan can somehow pawn monty off on someone for a bag of pucks I will all hail Stan. I assume there is some other weird contract or cba reason for this which saves them money? or he can play a game then retire or something. what was the deal with pietro and ltir?

I believe Montador has a NTC...

if you promote stalberg:

2.Stalberg/Bolland/Kane

3.Frolik/Kruger/Bickell

4.Carcillo/Mayers/Smith

if not, using same logic with Saad for giving younger skill more minutes to eat up:

2. Pirri/Bolland/Kane

pirri can play wing too, right? Coulda sworn i saw him there last year during callup...im biased, i like him a lot, more than Smith or Morin or hayes, although theyre all awesome and will make a nice new core coming soon (i'd say Morin has least chance of making it/staying with organization, but im dumb)

It should be Hayes or Smith.

Knowing Quenneville, he'll recall a goalie.

I think they should send Monty down to the AHL for a conditioning stint. I would be really vary about placing him in the line-up after such a long period of not playing.

Thats good cause Sharp is gonna miss some time. I'd be SHOCKED if he didnt

Looked that way. He was clutching his arm as limped toward the bench. At this point I will trust the Organ-I-zation to call up the right yewt if needed
