All hail stan!

Modified NTC until July 1, 2014 (player can submit a 10-team no-trade list)

This shit bag team Stan has put together will be lucky to make the playoffs. They were ousted in the 1st round last year, and didn't add to it at all. Bring back Dale!

my heads going to explode.

Saad/Toews/Hossa

Stalberg/Bolland/Kane

Carcillo/Kruger/Bickell

Frolik/Mayers/Call up/Brookbank

Thats what I a non NHL coach would start with. So when Q doesn't go that way I won't be shocked. Until the Hawks start paying me to build lines then im shit out of luck. I figure the LWers can be rotated up and down the lines. The RW should stay as is. Don't under estimate Stalberg he has played top 2 minutes all season last year. Has played with all those guys.

dont listen to Tons lines he has Lwers on the RW and vice versa hes drunk.

I dont think the call up is that important.

I don't mind those lines too much. I mean, it is Q, so those lines wouldn't stick too long anyway. Carcillo and Bickell obviously have size and that ever elusive grit everyone talks about. Bicks has been a bit on the offensive side of the puck, and we all say what Carcillo did yesterday.

If Frolik is healthy and still in step, I would keep him on the 3rd though. That line seems really in sync with each other, and I am loathe to mess that up.

I could see the game starting as -

Saad - Toews - Hossa

Carcillo- Bolland - Kane

Bickell - Kruger - Stalberg

Montador/Brookbank - Mayers - Frolik

If anyone is called up, it will probably be Bollig. They need to get Monty game time/up to speed to see what they have there. He's played wing in the past. The guy hasn't played in nearly a full calendar year...playing wing for 6-8min would let him make/take a few hits...get back in there. They need to play him to see if he either fits going forward - or if any team will give anything for him in a month at the TDL

And I think that if someone is pulled up...it could be interesing if its a person that's "not expected" - in the sense it could be showcased for a trade. Like...someone would want to see Pirri...Morin...etc.

I don't either like the thought of trading any of those guys. I'd rather see what they can do in the show before sending them somewhere. Especially when the cap is going down next year and having cheap players that could step in and contribute. But to get some quality, you need to give up some quality too.

Well as it stands right now it's really going to be difficult for any of those guys on the farm to ever get consistent roster action on the Hawks. Look at the top 9 guys on the starting roster and it's going to be a long long time for a spot to open unless Stan decides to trade a guy like Bolland or Sharp which I don't see happening in anytime in the near future. So you can't just waste kids on the farm. If you are a blueliner prospect you have a much better chance of cracking the Hawks lineup in the next few years. At some point some of the guys on the farm are going to have to be delt to teams which can play them at the NHL level. A few of the guys have been on the farm too long. Its only fair to them that they have the chance to further their careers elsewhere and its going to have to be done for the AHL team so they can bring in younger prospects. Welcome to the world where the Hawks have had some decent depth on the farm for a long time. Unavoidable.

Maybe if the team decided to let Carcillo walk it opens up one roster spot.

Bickell and Stalberg are looking at pretty good raises after this season... might let one or both walk away. Kruger and Leddy are up for RFA too. I think there could be more room up front than you think next year.

Good points. Not sure if Bickell and Stalberg will receive huge raises and I think that would be a mistake to let Stalberg walk...maybe Bickell is okay. Im being bias here dont forget because I love the Berg. Leddy will resign as that too would be a mistake to not resign him. Kruger can walk even though I am loving the guys defensive game and I think it is important. You might be right Ton. But I personally think the 3rd line will be resigned. There will always be room open on the 4th line but the guys everyone want to see get NHL time aren't 4th line players. Maybe Beach.

Carcillo is the only guy that I can really see being moved or not extended to make room for a top 6 guy in the future. There is a log jam happening. Its a good problem to have but prospects will be sacrificed.

I think Stalberg will could get a bigger raise/would do well in the UFA market. Bickell, I don't see as much. Leddy and Kruger are RFA's...so their raise may not be that much. If somoene wanted to go offer them a lot...then take the pics - but I don't see it.

I have no problem trading a guy or 2 in the minors. Just keep TT, Daneault, Clenending, Johns, KHayes, Lalonde

But Pirri, Morin, Smith, Beach....no problem moving them

But the farm needs to start making room for Russians also. All teams have to start doing this. League is running out of them haven't you heard?

Pirri will be moved in the near future unless Bolland goes first. There is no room for that guy with Shaw stealing center duties and McNeil coming up also. Bye bye little center. That is if he doesn't want a AHL career..if he does then have fun on the Farm. Im sure the Hogs still want to ice a productive team. Or are they even productive? I really dont pay much attention to be honest AHL hockey is fucking boring. Rather watch junior leagues.

I actually see Sharp and Bolland gone in two years. To make cap room for the raises our other guys are getting, that or you let all our youth go.

I place them both around 1.5-2m a year. I see Leddy being the most expensive.

I see Sharp gone as well. Saad is making him very expendable in a year or so.

Leddy deserves the raise, I've been impressed with his poise with the puck and his ability to make that first pass out of the zone. He's also gotten better in his own end. Looks completely different than he did 3 months ago in Rockford.

Bickell will want a raise, but won't get it here.

Stalberg will want a raise, but I doubt we can find the money in 4.6 million that both Kruger and Leddy will be getting a part of. Plus a backup goalie if Emery splits.

If sharp goes that frees up 5.9 mil in cap hit (less the new CBA does something stupid). I see bolland being a cap casualty as well which clears up 3.375 when his contract is up. It might even take Hossa to keep the youth around, I don't know.
