doan...doan...doan. can he be any more deliberate in knocking toews head around? used to like that guy, but the last few seasons all i notice is the bullshit he pulls. maybe i'm just paying attention to him more, i could be wrong.

hawks in 6.

I said the exact same thing to the wife while watching the game. I always thought he was a well respected player and clean. Looking more and more like a total ****** the last few years.

I felt Sharp had a terrible game last night. Worst one in awhile. The Yotes were taking heavy runs at every Hawk. Some were borderline charges. Torres' run at Hossa was a perfect example. Almost knee to knee. But that is playoff hockey. It appered that a few of our players forgot that simple fact. Better be prepared! And Doan is a hack. Plain and simple. I think Torres is rubbing off on him. And Handzal was a dick too! How many shots to the face were they going to let him get away with in that scrum with his gloves on?

I want to point out that Shaw was outstanding last night.

Gotta love 3/4 games going into overtime yesterday.

Ie been critical of Craw when warranted but he played well. Foolish to think it was his loss.

OD did make a decent play to get the whistle, but wtf did Hjarll do in hacking it away from Craw was the idiot/panic move. And the blatant Too Many Men on the Ice (not to be confused with TCDs not enough men in his bed)

With that, Id rather see Liepisto over OD...and I'm fine with Bruno but would take Hayes over Bollig on the 3rd line

Sharp had some horrible give always and shot at some dipshit times on the PP. Hossa didn't look good and I thought it was Oduyas worse game since coming here. Qs matchups were very good...not sure what he's getting crap for with that. Toews looked like his timing was off, but still was a factor.

PP wasn't that bad and the tying goal was on a self created PP situation...kind of a big goal.

Just win one in PHX...they'll be fine

Any word on Vrby? Would be nice not to see him the rest of the series with the season he had.

Listed as day to day - bruised labia.
I call bullshit, he's been playing with a bruised labia for years, I bet it's concusses. You could tell by the way he got up and was surprised it was still there.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
1st off, anyone who thought Dr. Craw had a bad game should get out of hockey altogether and stick to something more appropriate to thie "nothing matters more than numbers and stats" like Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, and D&D. I think even Fantasy Hockey is too much for them because even that infers looking beyond the stats.

2nd, yeah...Sharp looked completely off this game. Yeah, Hossa was invisible, but Sharp ooked off like he had the flu or was oming off an injury.

Anyhow, this game was the one we drop because the D completely shit the bed.

The good: I liked hammer's play up until he caused the 1st goal. He started getting physical again. I also liked how it looked like Phoenix was pulling themselves out of position in the 1st to make the big hit, and we were capitalizing. Somehow, we lost that in the 2nd.

Given the personnel we have in Toews, Hossa, Sharp, Keith, Kane, and as Stalberg has been showing, I think we need to *stop* relying on set plays when they're on the ice and allow them to ad-lib it more. Let them be a little more creative and find the open spots on the ice instead of a set chunk they need to be in.

And yeah, great game by Shaw & Stalberg. No rust on Toews which is good.

Anyhow, I'm not taking too much from this loss because it seemed like we carried the majority of the play and aside from mailing in the 2nd and the usual D-zone lapses; everything bad we did looked easily correctable as long as the coaches give themselves a rectal craniectomy.

Not liking what I saw in Oduya under playoff pressure; Hammer needs to step it up. Crawford did okay. Hawks in 7.

Eh, not too upset about last nights game. They had plenty of quality scoring chances and strong moments of game control. Too bad the TMM was missed and Hammer (and that horrible line) had a brain fart when Corey was trying to freeze the puck. Game, even with a lack of focus from several 'Hawks, could have been easily won by the Hawks. On to Saturday.

i just had the same fucking thought on the bus yesterday before the game about how he was such a well respected clean guy until two or three years ago and now hes got like 4 suspensions since then. My theory: he plays nice and says the right things about family to the media but he actually really is sick and tired of Phoenix haha

Agreed, I hate to say it and be that guy, but if anyone thinks Crow is to blame for the loss, you truly dont get it. He was awesome and had numerous highlight saves. He did his job: Keep the team in a position to win. He did that and then some. Goalie is responsible for 2 and under goals, offense is responsible to score 3, says the general hockey math.

Brunette and O'ParkCone need to be benched. I dont know why Q always has a hard on for the old chumps, but then cant hang. We dont need a "vet" presence. I think the "core" can handle it since they did raise the Cup.

Not to mention, I cant imagine Doan can keep pace with the minutes he is pulling. He might be good for a couple, but that will catch up to him.

You know the team never quit. Have to give them credit for tying it up late with the goalie pulled. I want to say other than Kaners against Nashville thats only the 2nd time it's happened.

I'd get Kane off the LW tomorrow night.

Sharp-Toews-Hayes

Stalberg-Kane-Hossa

Kane isn't the best face off guy, but neither is Kruger. Where was Kanes set up for the tying goal, yea, on the right side.

My thoughts are pretty much with everyone else (except the guy that blamed Crow for the loss.)

I also observed a couple things:

1. We regressed back into poor puck decisons again last night. There were times though when we had the good sense to "reset" the play by passing the puck back to the D, maintaining possession and going again, but lots of other times we just iced it or puked it ahead and gave it to Phoenix in the neutrel zone. (You DO have do to that if you're in serious trouble...but we did it too readily last night.)

2. Both teams had lots of trouble handling the puck last night...ice must not have been much more than mush. On that ice it may be a real challenge to play our puck possession style.

3. Smith is not square to shooters on low angle shots--looked quite shakey on those. We should shoot those (since the D gives them to us) and get to the right areas for the rebound...we did not do that part on the low angle shots.

Agreed with RK, and whom ever else on Crawfords case, he played a great game. I put some loss on hammer not alot just a little, BUT I blame the officating for that first goal. You are professional refs for a professinonal sport, along with that your reffing a games that matter. There is no excuse to not call to many men on the ice when the ref was right by the bench. That was the turning point in the game. I think Shaw played amazing. We should have won that game, we win it in 6

I'd go with...

Sharp-Toews-Stalberg

Kruger-Kane-Hossa

Bickell-Bolland-Shaw

Brunette-Mayers-Hayes

And...kudos to Bickell for about the last month has been really good...and was a factor last night as well. Where the **** was this the first 65 games..lol

Yea PMX I was going to go there as well but put Hayes there for some size with JT. They beat the fucking shit out of him last night. Some extremely border line plays that were more penalties not called.

And yea Acco Shaw played a great game but he MUST keep his head in the game. The trip that was not called, was a dumb ass play. AHL stuff. You don't do that. Same with him running around after the whistle earlier.

I don't know about Kruger on the LW, but who else is there? I like the first line though. If shit gets worse, I would prefer to see Frolik over Brunette on that fourth line.
