[A] Hawks Downed in Toews' Return: CHI 2, PHX 3 OT

Yea PMX I was going to go there as well but put Hayes there for some size with JT. They beat the fucking shit out of him last night. Some extremely border line plays that were more penalties not called.



And yea Acco Shaw played a great game but he MUST keep his head in the game. The trip that was not called, was a dumb ass play. AHL stuff. You don't do that. Same with him running around after the whistle earlier.

That is what worries me about Toews. You know that they are going to beat the crap out of him if he has to park in front of thr net. Give that line someone to do that for him. Sharp won't. I think he has become allergic to contact lately. Maybe Hayes.

This team has been on fire the previous few weeks and what does Q do? He separates 88 and 81??? WTF



Why on earth was OD out there with Leddy for the winning goal. And why was he at the hash marks?



This game was lost in the first period when the glorious chances were not converted to goals. Easily could have gone up 3 or 4 to nothing.

Q won't play Sharp at center, even though Sharp has come out and said straight up that he is comfortable playing center. Kane will be at center before Sharp ends up there. I didn't like the lines last night, aside from Bickell/Bolland/Shaw. I might give them another game, but really, why the **** are the Hawks experimenting with Kane at LW in the playoffs?! Total fucking amateur hour. Kruger may have been OK in the regular season centering in the top six, but his flaws were exposed big time when it came to playoff hockey last night. I would go with Hayes/Toews/Hossa. Sharp/Kane/Stalberg. Toews needs a big body with some nasty out there to protect him from the inevitable cheap shots. I have no idea where to put Kruger, to be perfectly honest.



P.S. I thought the obvious thing to do with Toews coming back, is slotting him in Kruger's spot, and moving Kruger down to the fourth line. Apparently Q and the coaching staff think more of Kruger at center than Kane, which is fucking ridiculous. Kane has played his best hockey of the season at center. Both at the beginning of the season, and the entire last month that Toews was out.

Goal #2 was just a piss poor line change and ROCKET, perfectly placed.

The PP actually did NOT look that bad, they just didn't get one in. Although the Seabrook Tying goal was the same as a PP, Craw was pulled.

Then I suppose Hjarlmarsson should have let his GOALIE freeze the PUCK instead of fucking it up for him. Or the Officials should have called the clear TMM on the ice just before.

It truly is amazing when you have a bunch of things going on at one time during a game. Maybe 2 refs and 2 linemen supposedly paying attention to detail isn't enough?

The first PP unit didn't look bad, but the second unit was complete garbage. They didn't generate anything on the PP. So, the Hawks basically turned every 2 minute PP into 1:00-1:15. They have to do something with that second PP unit. For starters, Bolland should be on it, PLAYING UP FRONT. Amazingly enough, he was the leading faceoff guy for the Hawks last night. Q's obsession with Brunette was a huge gaff last night, especially on that second PP unit.

Well, Hayes would have to dress, first. For some reason, Hayes seems to be one of the players Q has an unhealthy hate for, for some reason.
