Well management did go overboard in dismantling one of the best young teams in the NHL....with this much cap space we should still have a few of the guys we lost, be it Brouwer, Soup, Ladd, Buff, Steeg, etc.

Funny you say that cause thats what I said a week ago. lol. On a serious note, Stan should do what ever he can to get Miller here. Crawford will never win us a cup. Start with Miller and get D help around him.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I've honestly been thinking that for awhile--especially with Toews calling the Red Carpet "Shenanigans" a year or so back. I've not vocalised it much because (a) I would like to thing the guys would be somewhat professional and try to do their jobs even with Dilbertian-level bosses, and (

If word ever got out I'm sure heads would roll.

But from a subconsious-level, it would not surprise me if the guys just are simply sick and tired of Q, Stan, and McD's Clusterfuckery, and just don't have the ability to reach down to the next level and win one. I'm not saying they aren't trying in any sense, but that subconsious level that they might just not be able to go to anymore.

No worries folks! Don't have to get yourselves worked up about goaltending changes after all per Chris Boden who apparently has an interview with Stan that'll air later today. . .

And for those who wish that those of us calling for Q's head would STFU also no worries---the Stache is looking groovy. . .

Okay so Scooter goes with Q and Kitchen. I'm fine with that.

Yeah difference is, most players who played for Scotty admitted that he was a real sonofabitch to be coached by and they didn't particularly like it when they were going through practice every day and every game BUT he still got that all-important aspect of the game which is buy-in because ultimately they liked winning more than they hated being coached by Scotty. He was not a "player's coach"---he was a coach who wanted adherence and success and then when he wasn't coaching he was a devoted family guy and that's pretty much it.

What I don't see here and haven't seen going back much further than this season *for me* is buy-in.

Yeah see Scotty has something to back him up, more cup rings than fingers. Q...has 1 ring that well any of us could have accomplished that feat with that roster that year

Well, the chances of a GM in any pro sport league in any market not being given 4-5 years to turn things around or make their mark positively or ultimately negatively are slim---it just doesn't happen that owners see the quickest or less painful way to affect change is by firing the GM. That's why coaches get fired and run out of town---they have shelf lives.

As to your second point, eh. At this very juncture I believe I am coming to peace with the fact that people refuse to actually go back and look at the SAME FUCKING HABITS AND PATTERNS that have been developing here going back to long before this season and see that it's the SAME shit that got his ass tossed in COL and STL. It follows him everywhere like stank. From the inane line juggling and it's mental and motivational grinding down on players, to the taking of seemingly at least "passable" goalies and always winding up with a "goalie situation", to slow the regressing of young, talented players until they just full-on underachieve, to the passive fucked up D-schemes and system, the lack of engagement that's necessary for teams to accumulate so many TMM penalties, the slow grinding away at Special Teams efficiency until they're anemic. . .until pretty much just everything with the team is anemic. Lather-Rinse-Repeat for a Q team.

And don't get me started on his buddy Kitch. Good lord, he may be the only Asst. Coach I have ever seen on multiple hockey sites and forums over the YEARS have entire threads devoted to his FAIL stylings and where fans of whatever team, STL, FLA routinely call for his head and actual celebratory threads created when he's gone. For reals, I could barely contain my seething rage this morning reading that rumor that he *may* be one the highest paid Assts. in the entire League.

Whatever. The Bromance of Clusterfuckery needs to be gone like YESTERDAY. Never championed or supported either of their hirings and nothing's happened over the seasons to change my opinion.

Well if anyone hasn't figured it out yet, there is a serious old boys network in the NHL. Kitch most certainly has issues with his performance as a coach, as does Q, but most people don't look past Q's rather impressive W-L-T-OTL record.

Let's just say, if McDipshit really is the room helping to make these decisions, he never once looked at a 'sabremetrics' report on Q and Kitch's coaching abilities.

And all this time I thought Kitch was brought on board to be Q's designated driver. Never ocurred to me that it was a Clusterfuckery lovefest.

Does a person even need to look at the sabermetrics to see with their own eyes that dude was handed absolutely stacked rosters in COL and STL and never went anywhere with them as was expected of them? Like rosters that were supposed to be serious contenders and then underachieved once they started playing his "system" longer and longer? Or that the Hawks Cup roster was a once-in-a-who-knows-what-in the post lockout NHL occurrence because it was even more than absolutely stacked it was mega-stacked and even Lord Vader couldn't **** up that kind of assemblage of talent with bad Jedi mind tricks?

Whatever. I am just a bitter fangirl at this juncture---he's worn *me* the **** down.

Most any other instance, that would be cause for a celebration.

To me, more importantly than losing 8 in a row is that they've lost 14 of the last 20. With 3 OT losses. SO basically, Only 15 of the last 40 points.

McD should have 0 responsibility for anything related to a hockey decision which is the said part. He has had 0 involvement his entire life and you don't hand any kind of responsibility to a guy like that. No matter what he brings into play in other areas. I've been a hockey fan most of my life and yet I wouldn't even be remotely qualified to even give input into hockey operations decisions. Unfortunately I don't believe his ego and title allows for him to be left out of a meeting. I honestly can't imagine a meeting with him trying to discuss anything hockey related. I wish a reporter would just once ask him during an interview to break down Toews performance in the 2nd period and analyze what he's doing well and what he should improve on.

Hey now, you've got a friend in me. I have no qualms when I miss games on tv or when Center Ice fucks me and doesn't broadcast in HD or in a Chicago feed. I'm tired of the losing and I'm tired of trying to figure out whose on the ice from shift to shift.

Not to rain on the Q/Kitch/McD/Rocky bashfest going on, but during the cup season there were lots of doubts. Only in retrospect was it the slam dunk everyone makes it out to be. Just sayin.

I know, I know the sky is falling over 8 straight losses and I'm frustrated too, nor am I huge Organ-I-zation pundit, but I have some faith in Toews-Seabs-Keith-Hossa-Sharp-and Kane (not in any particular order). This will get straightened out, more so do to the players than the coaching/mamgement/marketing/ownership. I don't think there is a deficit of pride or respect for the game on this team for them to totally tank it and mail in the remainder of the season. But what the **** do I know, I'm just an armchair fan who can't even skate.

You mean the amazing core that has disappeared just as much as our stay at first place for three weeks?

Pace yourself Pete, twice in one day... we may start cycling together soon.

It's not about losing. It's a faith in the system mindset. You have a job. You're good at your job. You like our company. You have no problems going the extra mile. Then things go pear-shaped and your immediate bosses go from not seeming to care at all to making frantic moves at the drop of the hat and things continue on the course laid out for hell in the confort of a handbasket. It doesn't matter how good, loyal, or a company man/woman you are--you will not subconsiously give it your best effort no matter how much you want to.

That's not a player issue...that's a human issue.

Scooter isn't going anywhere. He knows where the bodies are buried.
