Well... only if contractually he is forced to wash his hair every day and forbidden to use pomade.

Ok, maybe, but he has to leave his binkie in Vancouver....

There's an option missing to vote for as well, can't be a poll without it.

Hell no.

Very overrated and cannot come through in the clutch.

Mentally weak and after one soft goal he dissolves.

Thanks but no thanks. I'd rather have Crawford and the cap space.

And like hell Vancouver is just going to trade Luongo for nothing in return. lol, say good bye to a couple prospects and or a core player.

Luongo has been one of the few goalies where he been able to play in spite of his team. Both in Van and Florida. I mean, look at the defensemen the Canucks have had. Very, very rare to have a goalie like that, it's an absolute joke he hasn't won at least one Vezina. More of my concern would be what's going back rather than the contract. 5.2 cap hit, yeah it's maybe a bit more than I would like to pay a goalie in today's NHL but he would be an exception, one of the few. And I don't expect, that if he were to be traded, that he would be playing here throughout the remainder of his contract anyway. 9 years left and he's 32? 33? Don't see it happening.

Don't discredit his defense in Vancouver.

He's had Bieksa, Mitchell, Ohlund, Salo, Elder, O'Brien, Hamhuis, whom are all capable defenseman. It's not like he's had 6 O'Donnells in front of him his entire career.

Then kiss off having a chance to win unless we score 2 or more goals.....

I'm torn.

When he was with the Twins, I hated A.J. Pierzynski more than any player in Baseball, but I've loved every second he's played with the Sox. As much as I've hated, and still hate Bobbi, A few beers and a shutout might help me to forget.

I just don't see Scotty Jr. having the balls to actually do it, so it's probably moot.

How many games can you count that Craw has stolen?

Lou is that kind of goaltender. Will he have stinkers? You bet, but I'd still take him over Craw.

Later in the show the host asked Luongo about Chelsea Dagger, his reponse: "I like that song -- it's catchy," Luongo said. "I heard it seven times in one game."

Love this comment.

I would take the chance on Lou.

I don't believe you need all star goaltending to win it all.

Have we not forgotten that Niemi was our goaltender during the Stanley Cup? Michael Leighton got Philly to the finals that year as well.

Osgood was the goaltender for Detroit when they won the cup.

I hope the Hawks get Luongo, just so I can listen to everyone ***** about how awful he performs when the game counts and I can sit back and say "I told you so"...

He's a talented goalie, but for his price tag and years on his contract, I would not like to see him on the Hawks. His crying, terrible trash-talking and ability to disappear when the game is on the line is something that will fuel my disdain for him.

I think that's just about the only reason I would ever want to see him in the Indian head... but for 12 more years? OUCH!

I dont think the 12 years would be a consideration, he would be a real asset to the team and I thnk most agree another cup is not if nthe cards with Crawford between the pipes, he hasn't got it!

I can't see why some of you don't think he would improve the team. He is better than Crawford was,is or ever will be. He can put the team in the run for the cup again and maybe even tot he top, somethng Crawford will never achieve. The team has the money and not to improve it will be the end of Bowman if he consistantly shows he has no balls. Chicago ahs had some great goalies over the years (I've been a fan since '64!) and without one there is usually no cup...the is is the case more times than not and Chicago's last cup was the exception but look at this year and last year, two great goalies....Crawford is a seive...

Hell has frozen over I agree with the dink above..... **** me now.

<edit> I do think Crawford can be a very good back up and come in for injury no problem and take the reigns as well. Who knows maybe not having Schneider looking over your shoulder helps as well. Especially with the dumb ass fans in Vancouver.....

Watch Schneider who is unproven shit the bed next year. See how fast Cafuck nation clammors over having dealt Bobby Lou away....

Come on over, Lou!

Cap hit? 5.3 isn't bad for an elite goalie that'll play 70gms

The length? Who cares...Rocky will be burying/paying him out the last 3-4yrs if he doesn't retire. He's got 6-7yrs in him at least.

They could then move Crawford to TOR/FLA for something minimum/pick...to recoup what some of what they have to give to get him.

As far as his "choking"? He won a gold, went to gm 7 of the cup 2yrs ago. Last year was the first year he was "knocked out" of the first round..and only played in 2gms. He had 4 shutouts the year they went to the cup.

Upgrades the goaltending, and the defense.

To think that Bieksa and co made him good? We'll see how good those clowns are without him. Not one of their Dmen is a bonafide number 1...arguably no number 2's on a top team.
