that would be awesome to have dunn playing 1b everyday for 3 years.

it would be the dumbest move for the cubs to do, but hey they want to appease the fans.

still he will be a yankee and will play dh, and will fall in love with the rf short porch.

if he has a choice to be a dh for a team that is always contending for Championships or play b everyday on a pretender that probably may win a division in a few years....im going with the yankees. he will put his mit down for that.

No way he goes to the AL. Period. He wants to play baseball, not moneyball.

Plus, would the Yankees even want him? I don't know.

How would Dunn at 1B be the worst move possible? How?
Dew is right 3/40 would probably never happen that agent wants big money for like 5 years.

No way he gets 5 years. No way in hell anyone gives him 5 years.

I don't think he deserves 5 years but he keeps asking for it.

Let's take a realistic look at this. Agents will say anything to anyone who will listen, essp. to anyone who will actually write an article, to drive up the price of his client. I don't know what Dunn's value is. If he'll get 3 years or more, or $13mil per or more, i don't know, but, an agent is always shooting for the stars, and will say anything.

As for Dunn not going to AL. That is false. He would prefer NL, but is open to playing in the AL, as Jon Heyman (SI) said several days ago. Heyman said he believes Dunn will sign with either the Yankees, Tigers or Twins. He also said that Chicago White Sox will be interested.

I do think the people who want Dunn are correct, tho. I have no doubt that the Cubs will make a call to his agent but once they see all the teams bidding, they will get disinterested very quickly, and once they see the price tag, they will start calling other players.

Let's not sign a guy that could HELP this offense! Let's ***** and moan about his defense or lack there of. This team needs a bat, not a gold glove winner at 1B. Has anyone not noticed that this offense has sucked the last two years? Dunn would be a perfect fit in the middle of that order. If Hendry could possibly do his job and trade a bad contract by eating a little money signing Dunn would be a good move.

Say something of substance...

when you do.

your moneyball and comments on the al not being baseball is plain ignorant and a lack of knowledge of this game. therefore a facepalm because there really is no point in arguing with you on the al and adam dunn.

Baseball is not meant to have a DH. That's not the way Abner Doubleday created the game. That being said, it provides a great advantage to the AL teams.

I'm just curious, why is it that you base your opinions on the exact opposite of what Adam Dunn says?
