Something really doesn't feel right here. Inappropriate but not criminal?

THAT is what had all the reporters scared shitless to say anything?

NOT buying that.

I heard he was playing slap ass in the locker room, and they just got a new dominican player who was not into it.

I guess I'm an idiot for continuing to engage with you on this topic. I really just can't help myself from correcting this bullshit even though I know you will never admit that you're wrong.

1) Law enforcement agencies do not bully multi-billion dollar corporations around like that. The company will absolutely be free to issue a face-saving press release that doesn't disclose any information about the agency's investigation without having to worry about who they will "piss off." You don't know what you're talking about.

2) Plausible deniability is a real legal concept that is an important part of preparation for any potential litigation. Emails from employees denying personal knowledge of alleged misconduct are extremely important. And those emails aren't even necessary to issue a press release because press releases aren't sworn statements! You don't know what you're talking about.

3) Charges are irrelevant. Individuals and corporations are held liable for damages for misconduct that never result in criminal charges all the time. You don't know what you're talking about.

On your first point:

There have been countless allegations of police corruption AND federal corruption with law enforcement agencies in doing exactly this, be it anything from politics, to trying to cover for the NCAA college football programs and the various rapes on campuses, etc.

Even away from the corruption angle, there are countless people out there who have testified before they have been threatened by the feds with criminal charges if they say anything during an active investigation - doesn't even have to be political, but the number of people out there claiming this happened on the various federal cases over the years is countless (and I actually do agree with them doing this if there is an investigation ongoing). Way too much smoke out there on a ton of different cases for there not to be fire.

If you really believe point 1, you are super fucking naive.

There is a stark difference between individuals and a multi-billion dollar company that have dozens of lawyers on retainer. He was spot on.

The feds can "urge" a multi billion dollar company to "assist" with the investigation quietly.

The "panic" is the feds presence felt by the Beat reporters who are acting all weird.

No one, no matter how rich, wants to **** with the Feds.

Noted 'Pizzagate' and 'ThE sToRm Is CoMiNg' enthusiast telling a real life lawyer, who does this type of work every single day, that they are 'super fucking naive'. Hilarious.

So he was just sleeping with somebody elses wife and the local media guys couldn't report this...why? Doesn't rate as a reason to be so hush hush. Gossip is publishable.

There's still more to the story. Either the shield, some sort of cop shop or the government is keeping people quiet. At this point if the Bears wanted the story buried somebody would've laughed at them and just ran it.

Clint here! can you share some of your personal experiences with multi billion dollar companies dealing with the federal government and tie it back to relevancy in this situation?

1. Who said anything about bullying. I said if law enforcement asks they may defer. Are you trying to claim law enforcement never asks orgs to keep things quiet and they never comply? Again you are pretending that everyone does things the same way. That simply isnt true.

2. Again no one said they are not important. I said you are passing off your preference as gospel. You are free to advise a corp in this situation to issue a statement. I know there are plenty of other law firms that would advise them not to. That is the point. There isnt one way to handle this as you are trying to suggest.

3. No one said they cant be held liable. I said it is stupid to release a statement unless you are sure the issue will be made public.
