That makes some sense but I think what you would just want to look at is how players perform in "high leverage" situations. Those are situations that sound similar to what you are looking for.

I can try to correlate something but I am not sure how I would do it. Let me see what I can run.
ya pretty much

I've always liked Alfonso Soriano—at least enough to draft him on my fantasy baseball team. It's a good thing that in fantasy baseball players don't lose points for dogging it out of the box or in the outfield.

Being from Wisconsin myself, I know many (too many) Cubs fans. Not one of them would even consider defending Soriano.

Although Soriano may not have as bad of an attitude as many of the players on this list, he is just as lazy and selfish.

Bleacher report is a joke but i though that was funny

guess this guy hasn't met CO:).

Everyone says DJ is a great defender. Doesn't make it true.

Your eyes are telling you what they should be telling you. He is a very ugly defender and he takes some really crappy routes. I think we can both agree on that. However, that does not make him a bad defender. He is quick, which allows him to get to a lot of balls. It makes up for his bad routes. Just because he looks bad doesn't mean he is bad.

 what?!

Hahahaha...

I think the point is that Soriano's athleticism made up for a lot of his defensive foibles, but that's no longer true. He's still a bad defender. If he had better instincts and fundamentals he'd be elite. But the athleticism (at least the speed component) is pretty much gone now, so he's pretty much stuck on bad.

And let's not forget that Soriano runs the bases like the special kid on the little league team that puts his helmet on backwards and then runs to third after hitting the ball off the tee.

Unfortunately that seems to be a general Cubs fail than one that can be solely attributed to Soriano. Ergo, the TOOTBLAN.

Agreed. There aren't too many guys other than Kosuke, Barney, Baker, and Byrd that actually run the bases well.

Soriano is just who I immediately think of in all instances of poor base running.

Kosuke and Byrd are both below average base runners, but Soriano is actually a slightly above average base runner.

Do you ever post anything besides that stupid emoticon? Seriously, you're an absolutely terrible poster in here. Either stop posting like a 14 year old girl, or just stop posting in here.

CO, just shut the **** up, really.

I know normally you're the one to call someone a fucking Special person or tell them to shut the **** up, but your perception of Dews is fucking idiotic.

And LOL @ critiquing how he acts, look in the mirror bro.

You try to use that smiley sometimes too... but you do :rollseye: which doesn't work... it is : rolleyes :, just an FYI.

Soriano doesn't have to run the bases when he hits it where it isn't playable anymore :D

Are you saying Soriano has better speed than those two, because I agree there. However, now that Soriano has lost his speed, he has relied on his instincts in running around the bases, which makes him below average.

Seriously, you're an absolutely terrible poster in here.

Oh the irony :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
