Looks like the Steelers are going to be rebuilding this year. Doubt if Watt goes there. Sad to say GB looks like the most likely destination. For a lower contract, a DL of Hicks, Goldman, Watts with Mack and Quinn on the edges sure would look nice.

Yeah, that's what happens to all 12-4 teams, they have to rebuild the next season... :jonesy:

I thought Watt wanted Cleveland yesterday??
bears will probably make this move if we cant get a QB. only to soften the media back lashes, Watt brings integrity but it won't be enough to save anyone jobs.
We're sitting ducks, but it's just how i see this whole thing being played out.

Sounds like it's down to Wiscanny or Chitown.

Might matter what we can pull off for a qb this year but I don't think it's a crazy notion that he would want to join Mack if we look like legit contents for the playoffs

I'd rather spend resources on upgrades to OL, WR, or QB. You would think Watt either goes to where is paid the most or has the best chance to win a SB (or best combination of both). I understand the connection to Chicago through his wife, but Chicago offers neither of those things.

Maybe Watt doesn’t care about the money anymore.....

Right. But then you would think he signs with a contender. My point was the bears would unlikely be the team that pays the most and they are not a contender. But this is obviously just my guess. IMO fans too often assume to know what a player wants.

Players pick teams for random reasons sometimes. Robert Quinn said his choice was between Bears & Falcons and he literally flipped a coin. So who knows...

He very well might want to join a contender. He also might want to be with his wife and start a family. But I agree, no one except for Watt has the scoop.
