brett, serious series of questions:

1. Has a parent ever been upset that you did that?

2. Has a parent ever returned it to you?

3. Has a child ever refused it?

Never had a parent upset at their child receiving a tract. It would be inappropriate at best for a parent to do so since they came to my home.

Never had a parent return it to us.

Never had a child refuse it from us though as I stated we find one or two each year thrown to the ground.

We live out in the country. The neighbors are for the most part all older adults. Over the last 15 years we've had maybe 3 or 4 trick or treaters. My kids are all too old for trick or treating. Youngest is 16. We used to walk a near by neighborhood with them when they were younger. Don't do much anymore. Daughter has a softball tourney on Halloween weekend this year. That should be fun.

Not wanting someone's religious beliefs being forced on my children = difficulty melding in with society.

1) It's not being forced
2) Your children came to me, I did not go to them

Puzzling that you don't see that.

I think any reasonable person could conclude that on Halloween any regular social interactions are a bit different. That is, unless you have children coming to your door dressed as zombies in the middle of March. So actually, the reasonable expectation of a child in that case, given the day, is that they would receive candy. That you slide in your tract alongside that candy is being forced.

I would tell you, that if I were walking with my children and I saw that they received that from you, they would have to walk back up and return it to you.

If I trick or treat at your house and accept your tract, will you accept my vanity-published memoir?
