Just Read K.C. Johnson's article about him...video montage? Was anyone expecting that? Seriously?

Ben had 5 great seasons with us and helped us get to the playoffs 4 out of those 5 years, including 1 second round year.

While I would like a video montage I don't think its necessary. It would be different if he was here say 8-10 years.

But I know some of you will think I'm sick and not a Bulls fan, but I almost want BG and the Pistons to win in Chicago, just to prove to Reinsdorf and other people in the office, media and the fans (such as HouHeffna) that Ben was a great piece worth keeping and hopefully it will wake Reinsdorf and others up so this (letting a great player leave, for nothing) never EVER happens again

You can argue all you want that we weren't going to win a championship with him, but the fact is Ben would be a great piece to have on a championship team. If we had dumped Kirk's contract at All Star break last season and resigned Ben, we would have 1 player who has the potential to be great (Rose), a great outside shooter and scorer (Gordon), a great all round small forward who can shoot a long mid range shot (Deng), a very good young center who rebounds, blocks and gives you double double almost every night (Noah) and a decent guard/forward (Salmons). All we would need then is that one piece (Bosh, Amare) and we would be title contending.

Now we have a team that can't score from the outside and a good (not great) defender who can't shoot (Hinrich).

So in a way I hope Ben just rubs it in to the doubters and they win, just in hope that Reinsdorf and others learn there lesson

Here is my piece on Ben Gordon's return: http://dabullz.com/2009/12/02/the-return-of-ben-gordon/

I think a video montage would be silly given that Gordon plays for the Pistons. I think at most, if Gordon plays, the announcer should give some flare when announcing Gordon in the starting lineup. Maybe if Gordon returns to the Bulls they should give him a video montage.

At the very least, when he's in his final seasons, or retired, they should do something to honor him, as he was the main reason for the Bulls getting good again.

If Ben plays, Salmons will get on track and go for 30

5 great seasons...great? If you call that great, there was this guy named Jordan! OH MY GOD!!! Just kidding....he had no great seasons, that's the point.

A video montage would be unnecessary. As it should be for any of those players on those teams. There was one good team and a whole lot of mediocrity...nothing to celebrate there.

There is no "in a way"...you either want the Bulls to win or to lose...

At least Bulls players respect BG. It is going to be a very emotional night for me. I am not looking forward to seeing BG in a Pistons uniform on the Bulls home floor.

The Chicago sports media are the only people in Chicago who did Ben Gordon wrong. Fans can think what they want, but it was the Chicago Sports media who did not portray the truth in their writing, announcing, etc.

I agree with taht. This is why those casual fans will probably boo him but IMO there are majority of the fans will actually cheer for him.

I am expecting a lot of cheer for Gordon, if not standing ovation.

Oh I wish we still had him over stupid Kirk Hinrich.

I expect about 2/3 of the arena to boo, stricly based on the many arguments and emails I've had over the past few years. The PR worked. The message was sent down from on high, lapdogs like Funk and Kashul spread the word, and most fans bought the "defense first", "ball movement", "we're better with Kirk" argument.

I'm just hoping Ben doesn't have this taped to his locker:
“We have [John] Salmons and a hell of a three-guard rotation with Salmons, [ Kirk] Hinrich and Derrick [Rose]. Ben wasn’t going to get a whole lot of playing time. His time was going to be diminished. And now we’ve added [Jannero] Pargo for the limited time the fourth guard will get. Ben just no longer fit. He’s a terrific player. But he needs minutes. And he wouldn’t have been happy with the minutes he was going to get here.” – Jerry Reinsdorf Interview with K.C. Johnson 7.21.09

I think the fans will give Ben a warm welcome during his introduction. He was always cool with the fans it wasn't that long ago that he was hitting game winners in one of the most exciting playoff series ever.

I really think most of the fans just want to keep it moving. I mean, Horace wearing a Magic uniform, Scottie with the Rockets...MJ himself with the Wizards...It took me about 15 seconds to get over the sight of those people in opposing uniforms...its a part of the game...I have already seen him in uniform with the Pistons...watched a half dozen games or so...will be interesting to see the reception he gets...

A video montage would be excellent as well.

Let's get an over/under going.

How many points will BG have.

Over/Under 27 points.

Today to me is just like a kick in the nuts. It is a sad day, that I never thought I would see. Ben Gordon on OUR floor, in ANOTHER teams uniform! It is a sad, sad day to be a Bulls fan. It feels like your hot ass girlfriend just left you for someone else and while still heartbroken, you see them the next week in a movie theater making out and he has his hand up her shirt and his other hand giving you the middle finger!! I feel alot of pent up emotions comming out today. Kind of like salt on a fresh wound. I just hope the UC crowd shows some appreciation. He gave us Bulls fans alot of bright days, when things could of been very, very dark. Our team is significantly worse this year without Ben Gordon.... :( :( :( :(

I'm allowed to have mixed feelings buddy

He was our leading scorer for 5 seasons. I'll call that great. I'll call all those clutch shots great. I'm not saying he was Lebron but he was our best player and would've been a great 3rd option behind Rose and a star. Certainly better than the guy we decided to keep instead (Kirk).

As I said I agree that there shouldn't be a video montage. But would hope for some appreciation of what he did for us. Even you can't fault his professionalism in a league full of unprofessional players. Other players in his situation, wouldn't have done what he did, especially playing injured in a playoff series when it possibly could've made it worse and possibly ruin the contract he was promised by Dumars. If you don't appreciate that at least or the fact he was our leading scorer and go to guy then theres something wrong here

You don't have to be Lebron James to be great.

No you don't, but "great" is an adjective that is overused. None of the Bulls were great. If you think Gordon was great...then you have watched a lot of bad basketball. He is good, never great. Leading a mediocre team in scoring does not mean you are great, nor does it mean you are the best player on the team (which I contend at times BG wasn't). Jordan was great, Scottie was great, hell you can say Rodman was great and get less of an argument...but none of those Bulls were great...

And you can't call someone great and then call him a "3rd option" on a great team...doesn't fit...
