the only messaging the team has been giving other teams, so people are starting to remove him as a viable option.
  • If they felt forced to trade him it would be the Jets he goes too. I can't recall if he explained why, but I'm thinking it's that they have the draft capital/players to make it happen. Personally I thought it was weird the Dolphins weren't mentioned.
Not to mention we don't know if the Jets are desperate enough to actually give up all those picks for Watson.

Obviously the Bears would if they had those picks because the HC/GM are desperate to not get fired and have an aging playoff caliber roster. The Jets are still rebuilding and have a 1st year HC/GM.

I think there's a price where the Jets walk away that another more desperate team (probably not the Bears though) can outbid them.

I don’t think the Jets are a real option for Watson. They’re still building and will have a good QB prospect sitting there at 2.

Douglas has more work to do than QB and they have a rookie head coach that needs to get up to speed.

Arguably Miami is more ready for Watson. There isn’t a lock at #3 but Tua is a good prospect to get in return for Houston.

They seem to understand you have to keep a talent like Watson but somehow I can still see the Texans blowing this situation either way it plays out.
