There were certainly some questionable decisions by Mike Pettine that played a large role in the Packers losing. But to fire him is a huge overreaction in my opinion. Ive been watching since 04-05, and I can't ever remember the Packers D being nearly as good as it was during Pettine's tenure.

Good luck recruiting a more qualified coach to come in and be scapegoated after making a run to the NFC championship game

Saw this today:

Of 57 QBs to start 100+ games for 1 team in Super Bowl era, Matthew Stafford's .452 win % w/ Lions ranked 52nd. Only teams w/ worse record in 100+ starts w/ 1 QB:

Rams: .438, Jim Everett
GB: .436, Lynn Dickey
#Raiders: .427, Derek Carr
Sea: .400, Jim Zorn
NO: .280, Archie Manning

Doesn't make them bad QB's as much as it shows they played on really bad teams, this especialy holds true for Archie Manning, they didn't call them the Ain'ts for nothing

A Bears mock draft for after a C.Wentz trade. I would do this trade even though i don't think it's realistic and would not like losing two 2022 draft picks but love gaining two 2021 draft picks. I'm also down with this mock but we better be bringing ARob back or replacing him in free agency.

A little Watson update. John McClain, who has covered the NFL at the Houston Chronicle for more than 45 years, was on SportsRadio 610 in Houston. Here's the short notes:
  • They never contacted the Eagles about Wentz. He was adamant that never happened and they only take calls, not give them.
  • They are committed to bringing Watson back to Houston. This is the only messaging the team has been giving other teams, so people are starting to remove him as a viable option.
  • If they felt forced to trade him it would be the Jets he goes too. I can't recall if he explained why, but I'm thinking it's that they have the draft capital/players to make it happen. Personally I thought it was weird the Dolphins weren't mentioned.
