Pace has largely ignored the OL and besides Montgomery have you really seen any improvement out of and offensive bears player under Nagy?

I'm speaking more in general. I have almost zero trust in Pace at the moment.

Just pointing out you can totally revamp a unit in one offseason.

Eagles OL gave up 65 sacks. Bears gave up 36 with statue Foles and 1st read Mitch at QB. The Bears OL is undoubtedly better and theoretically should be adding a RT in the draft, Daniels back from injury, and Whitehair in the right spot next season.
The line got better towards the end of the year and may have found a couple of players in Mustipher and Bars. With Daniels coming back next year, they now have depth on the oline. An addition to the tackle position would be taking this group in the right direction with Bars, Daniels and Mustipher all being young players.

The only other thing I can think of if the Bears are still interested in Watson and Watson is available, the Texans want a QB in return. Maybe the Eagles are not interested in giving away multiple picks but the Bears are. The Bears trade for Wentz but keep their first rd pick in the trade. They would then have the ammunition to trade multiple first rd picks and a QB back to Houston.

I have very little confidence Pace can pull something like off.

Now overpaying for Wentz - that's right up Pace's alley.

I don't see much of controversy. I think Nick's viable starting days are behind him. The Superbowl luster has worn off.
So to give Wentz a change of scenery you keep the guy who was the Superbowl MVP as his backup?

I'm just trying to give you the best chance to succeed with Wentz.

If that was the deal you'd have to send Foles back to Philly, no? Would Chicago really want to recreate the QB controversy that Wentz already lived through in Philly?
You would think they wound look to move Foles. But keeping both of them would be the Chicago thing to do!

Colts head coach Frank Reich used to be the Eagles’ offensive coordinator, so the Colts come up often when there’s talk about where Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz might go in a trade.

On Friday, Colts General Manager Chris Ballard was asked about that chatter during an appearance on The Dan Dakich Show. Tampering rules prohibit Ballard (and others around the league) from commenting directly on another team’s player and Ballard’s answer didn’t rule anything other than an imminent trade.

“We are exploring lots of options . . . I can tell you this, there’s no trade going down today,” Ballard said, via Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan.

The Colts were reportedly in the bidding for Matthew Stafford before the Lions agreed to trade him to the Rams last weekend and Wentz may not be the only other trade option. The Colts could also go the draft route, although that might require them to move up from the No. 21 spot in the first round. Ballard said that anything they do won’t be borne of desperation.

“There’s a fine line between being aggressive and desperate. We are not going to operate in a desperate world,” Ballard said.

But guess who is desperate...

Sure does but if Frank Reich is good with trading for Wentz would that give you more trust in thinking Wentz is worth trading for since his old OC wants to trade for him?
Here’s how it works for many:

If the Bears trade for him it is a mistake but if another team trades for him he is worth trading for and the Bears made a mistake.

I have no idea why so many people think Hurts will be great in the NFL.
As an Eagle fan the most exciting thing about Jalen Hurts being the starter is that he's under $2M/yr for the next 3 seasons. As a player I'm not sold, but he did show some flashes.
