So to give Wentz a change of scenery you keep the guy who was the Superbowl MVP as his backup?

I'm just trying to give you the best chance to succeed with Wentz.
Nicks always been great in the backup role supporting whoever it maybe. For the record I don't want Wentz. He may bounce back but that's a big if for the supposed asking price.

Not saying I'm on board with Wentz but I really hate this argument. (seen it a lot on here) You can turn around a unit in one season in the NFL. Just because the oline was bad last year doesn't mean it can't be good next year. I mean yes I don't trust Pace.... but just speaking in general what happened last season really isn't that relavant. JD comes back. Draft a new RT. Mustipher keeps developing..... it can get better pretty quick.
It DID get better when they changed it up. Even Leno played a lot better. Not saying they are like a top unit or anything but they were much more serviceable once they had the interior of Whitehair, Mustipher, and Bars. I just hope they don't bring Daniels back at LG and try to force Whitehair to RT.

Here’s how it works for many:

If the Bears trade for him it is a mistake but if another team transfer him he is worth trading for and the Bears made a mistake.
Maybe. Maybe not. Depends what Pace gives up for him. Most of assume he gets fleeced in the deal out of desperation.

Eagles OL gave up 65 sacks. Bears gave up 36 with statue Foles and 1st read Mitch at QB. The Bears OL is undoubtedly better and theoretically should be adding a RT in the draft, Daniels back from injury, and Whitehair in the right spot next season.
Eagles OL was very injured/bad last year. Had 14 different starting units and were missing their starting LT (Dillard) and RG (Brooks) all year.

With that being said, do you really want to rely on the Bears OL as a 'strength'? Is your superiority in the trenches really what gives you comfort about the deal?

Man, where did you read me saying the Bears OL was a strength? I also didn't say I was comfortable with the deal. Like every deal in the history of deals, it depends on what they'd have to give up.

Colts head coach Frank Reich used to be the Eagles’ offensive coordinator, so the Colts come up often when there’s talk about where Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz might go in a trade.

On Friday, Colts General Manager Chris Ballard was asked about that chatter during an appearance on The Dan Dakich Show. Tampering rules prohibit Ballard (and others around the league) from commenting directly on another team’s player and Ballard’s answer didn’t rule anything other than an imminent trade.

“We are exploring lots of options . . . I can tell you this, there’s no trade going down today,” Ballard said, via Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan.

The Colts were reportedly in the bidding for Matthew Stafford before the Lions agreed to trade him to the Rams last weekend and Wentz may not be the only other trade option. The Colts could also go the draft route, although that might require them to move up from the No. 21 spot in the first round. Ballard said that anything they do won’t be borne of desperation.

“There’s a fine line between being aggressive and desperate. We are not going to operate in a desperate world,” Ballard said.

But guess who is desperate...
The Colts.

You were just comparing the two OLs and making reasons why the Bears OL would help Wentz more than the Eagles I just wanted to remind you OL isn't really an area the Bears are strong. That's all.

We get
Wentz
2021 #1
2021 #3
2022 #2

They get Foles
2021 #2
That's you hiding the pain, hey?

Thanks for informing me the Bears OL is not good. I'll make note of that.

The only other thing I can think of if the Bears are still interested in Watson and Watson is available, the Texans want a QB in return. Maybe the Eagles are not interested in giving away multiple picks but the Bears are. The Bears trade for Wentz but keep their first rd pick in the trade. They would then have the ammunition to trade multiple first rd picks and a QB back to Houston.
I see that a highly unlikely in the NFL. 3 team trades only happen in the NBA
