Agreed. I guess I was hoping for the Blues to win, merely so they'd snag up the Preds, points-wise, for a bit. More than anything though, I was just curious to see how they stacked up against one another at this point in the season. Especially since both teams had just played the night before.

That must be some good weed that Rutherford has been smoking out there in Pittsburgh, because Perron is definitely not worth a first rounder.

What makes this trade even funnier is that Klinkhammer is UFA after this season, so I doubt he will stay in Edmonton after the year is up.

Well seeing as that first rounder is going to probably be a pick in the 25-30 slot, I'd say it was well worth it for the Penguins. They got a top 6 forward for this year and at least one more year who will compliment either Malkin or Crosby. This was a horrible trade for Edmonton though, I understand they wanted to get rid of him but you don't get what basically is a high second round draft pick for him, you go for some of the good defensive prospects Pittsburgh has been building up over the years, that's what the Oilers really need.

Capgeek ceases operations. Saw this elsewhere and there was some news on it today. Capgeek was always a good play to check on the CBA, cap hit, etc. Will be interesting to see if someone else picks it up. There are other sites out there, but I found Capgeek to be the most complete.
