hes a damn good playmaker though iago. i dont really know what can be done. we are fucked by the cap no matter who we disagree/agree on as far as a 2c. losing sharp would suck. tomorrow kane and toews will be a lot more richer.

I'm still sticking with the idea that they will take longevity over instant big bucks. Maybe $10 mil per over 6 or 7 seasons so as not to handicap Bowman and keep this thing going. These guys love the notoriety that winning gives them and it doesn't exactly hurt them on the endorsement end either. The one thing that might be a bit alarming is if they sign a shorter length, say like 3 or 4 years....probably means they're looking for a second, even bigger contract down the line.

Dang. Stars could be quite a challenge this year, too. Added Seguin and now Spezza in the last 2 years.

Bolland to Florida. 5 years at 5.5m per. Tallon up to his overpaying ways again. Jussi Jokinen joins him for 4x4.

(All these according to Sportnet via Signing Season 2014 on NHL Network)

Ehrhoff to Pitt, 1 yr for 4 million. That's the guy I was hoping would end up on the Avs.

Gonna suck for Bolland after playing in front of 2 of the best fan bases in the league.

Stastny to the Blues is a bit worrisome, but at least it weakens the Avs in the process. Central is going to be a great next season.

Who is backstopping the Blues?

Iginla to the Avs: 5.5, 5.5, and 5.0.

The Avs also acquired Brad Stuart in a trade.

ROR/Duchene/Tanguay
Landeskog/MacKinnon/Iginla

If Glasvlat got 1.5, the Hawks should have tried to snag him for 30 games a year and a ruthless hit in the playoffs.

This. Their defense is really good but Brian Elliot does not scare me.

Not really.

Kings and Ducks won't be easy outs by any means in the WCF. But I don't look at either roster and think they're unbeatable.

Colorado adds Iggy 37, Briere 36 and Stuart 34......that young, up & coming team just had their window for success close a bit.

Anaheim just signed Jason Labarbera, which means that Rockford's No. 1 goalie from last season is gone.

they have a nice young core surrounded now by some experienced vets. varlamov will have to perforn well again but they will probably be neck and neck with us all season.

Plus they didn't do a thing for their defense. Brad Stuart is more of subtraction by addition. Varlamov can't save them every time, just ask the Minnesota Wild.
