Taking Jeanty @10 is like buying a new car on a credit card with a 25% APR and the making the minimum monthly payments until it is paid off.

Sure it's a nice car, and yes some people are in a position to afford it.

But it is still a stupid use of your assets.

If the first 4 picks aren’t OL or DL I will start rage banning random people

The first 2 picks will likely be some combo of OL/DL. Mayyyybe even the first 3….no way the first 4 though

And again, FA will determine a lot of this. If the bears sign 2 starters on the OL and DL each (4 total trench signings) then they’re not going to spend their first 3-4 picks on the trenches.

Looks like Omarion Hampton is the only RB in Jeanty's level, and its doubtful he will be there at pick 39. Kaleb Johnson is a good RB and better than anything the Bears have now, but lacks the deep speed of Jeanty and Hampton for the splash plays that can break a game open.

So do you reach for an O lineman if the value isn't there at pick # 10?
I don't consider Simmons, Campbell, or KBJ a reach at 10 and if not I would switch to DE or perhaps OG

They legitimately need 4-5 OL and 3-5 DL.

@Enasic do you disagree? Which OL are currently on the roster that will be here next year? I count Braxton, Kiran and DW.

Yes, I disagree that the bears need 7-10 OL and DL additions.

They need 3 players on the OL (LG, C, and RG)

On the DL they need another DT and Edge….

My ideal scenario would be to sign Trey smith, dalman, Mack, and BJ hill or Poona ford

Trade down #10 and pick up another 2nd

Best OL/DL prospect in the 1st.

Best OL/ DL prospect at #39

BPA the rest of the way

OL: Braxton-1st or 2nd round - Dalman - Smith - Wright

DL: Sweat - Billings - Dexter- Mack

They need more than 3 OL. Teams carry 8-9 OL.

I would say that are fortunes in FA could be much better this year with all the positive hype of the Ben Johnson hire.

It feels like the previous couple of years the Bears have not been an attractive destination for top FA, for obvious reasons. That said, it all comes down to money. Show me the money, Jerry.

Sure, they’ll need some depth. My guess is kiran and Pryor will stick. Possibly Murray and bates. Maybe another OL rookie to round it out. Again, very tough to say before FA.

So 3 starters plus depth. (Pryor is a FA) 4-5 OL added as I said. Not sure what the question is.

I disagree. If he’s everything they say he is, you get a high quality RB for pennies on the dollar. If we were to somehow get Smith, Dalman, and a good pass rusher or two in FA, I wouldn’t mind taking him at 10. As it stands now, I’d probably pass for an Olineman.

Between FA and the draft, I’m praying Poles figures this out.

BJ brought it up immediately. I have to have hope that the guy made it a condition for his hiring. 🙏

There is no scenario I approve of drafting a RB at 10. I simply do not believe in spending a pick that high on the position.
Then we should have paid Montgomery?

I think the league is moving on from winning with mediocre running backs.

By all means go get a Pacheco if you can. But I'm considering an all around talent like Jeanty in a different category.

I think he's alot better than Skatebro.

It really comes down to how FA goes. If Bears fans should have learned anything it’s you can’t and won’t win shit without a solid offense and the quickest way out is not protecting your QB.

IMO, rbs and wrs come after you solidify the lines, on both sides.

GM-HC-QB-OL-Defensive front 7.

Figure out the rest later.

Jeanty showed exactly how he would look behind the bears OL in that penn state game, 3.5YPC

Guy beat up on the worst defenses in college football

I like him but wont be surprised if he's not even the best running back from this draft class
