I thought he was the competent one. Also thought he might get the gig if Q split.

If I had to choose, i would take Q staying all day long over bowman staying.

In the end of the year presser, Bowman laid it all on Q's shoulders by saying it was "his staff."
Because of the rift, maybe Bowman is giving Q the rope to hang himself. Q picks his staff and if it fails, it's on him, period.
