If winning is the ultimate goal, QBR would be the way to go- Jay has never finished above 17 with chicago with 14+ games.


Bottom line on QBR though- the heavy weight is when the game is close.

Desp, QBR sucks for the purpose of this bet- Cutler had 4 tds and zero ints vs philly in 2010, and scored a 73 qbr. Manning threw 7 tds and 460 yards in a game in 2013 and only got an 84.

So we agree on passer rating being the stat we use...now onto the benchmark, I think top 10 should be the baseline...he improved last year and if he can crack the top 10 barrier than I am more than happy to say he is showing an upward trend at the tender age of 33 and would easily accept an offseason ban from CCS.

but if you want to have top 12 is the baseline there has to be another qualifier mixed in...I feel either TD:Int ratio or Int% should be the added stat if we go top 12.

How about this, if he is top 10 in passer rating no qualifier...you win and I will be banned...if he ranks 11 or 12 in passer rating but fails to get the TD:Int ratio over 2 than it is a push....anything outside of 12 and we get a break from you during the offseason

i think he has to start 11 games...passer rating adjusts for total games, if he is top 12 after 11 games than I feel that is enough to judge his season...for example in 2011 after 10 games I would say he was on track to have one of his better/best seasons. He finished 13 in Passer rating and finished with a 1.85 TD:Int ratio.
