Should be noted that these are basically cap holds for the roster spot - almost none of those players are actually going to make the 53 man and keep that salary.

Actually…..
There really won’t be many. Trey Smith probably doesn’t hit the market. The Patriots need OL and have more money. So expect more dumpster diving and hopefully he hits it heavy in the draft
Yes they are but they still need to make an effort to mitigate it. They need to add players they can attempt to develop even if they feel like it's a weak draft find the good prospects and bring them and do the same thing next year.Cap space or no, the Bears are going to have an oline problem again
After they cut Bates and save 3.5million. The Bears will have 10 million invested in the OL for ‘25……
That number will at least triple this offseason. He’ll pay for another edge as well. He’s in the win now or else phase. Being smart about the cap is out the damn window.
You’re probably right, but he definitely shouldn’t be counted on as a starter.Im not sure they are going to cut bates either. Poles loves him and rarely admits his mistakes until its absolutely required.
He'll march him out to compete at guard/center and say he's fully healthy now, lol.
