hey Bart
how is this Bears related?
how is this Bears related?
It's an upgrade, certainly Stafford is a much better pocket passer than Trub. But can we afford Stafford's salary?
If we don't give up much for this I would love it.
McNabbWould be odd to deal him to a division rival. Has that ever happened?
Stafford would be much better than what we currently have, but it would obviously depend on what you'd have to give up. He's not worth a 1st round pick.
I mean, a decade in Detroit, will make George/Teddy/Pace/Nagy led Chicago look like a desirable destination I guess.Well you can’t say he wasn’t warned. He knows first hand what he’d be getting into.
I think if nobody else offers a better first it's worth it for the Bears to give up this year's first, if that's it. Keep the rest of the draft to help with oline and WR, and keep all of next year's when the D all needs to be replaced.I'd give a 1st for him. He'll be 33, probably has 3 years in him at this level. Maybe even more. He'd make us a legit playoff team with the current roster, not a SB contender but a playoff team. If the D bounces back then things could get interesting if you re-sign ARob.
Pats traded Drew Bledsoe to the Bills for a first.
Eagles traded McNabb to the Redskins.
McNabb was dealt to Washington from Philly.
Stafford would be the best Bears QB of my lifetime.
