Ah, this was the same line of reasoning with everyone else at the time though. Except, when cutler and grossman didn’t work out, after the vast majority of bears fans and radio people talked down to everyone else, it’s not like they had shame the next time. The next time they also just knew that the shiny new toy would be good.
I agree with gee, I don’t know, bill belichick. The bears built their team backwards. If this surefire QB doesn’t work out can the bears just build a team and hire people who know what a good QB looks like… and who don’t necessarily need the first overall pick or two first rounders to get one?
