According to Sean Jensen of the Sun Times, Bears have released Mark Anderson. I don't have a link yet, but it's been tweeted a couple times. What a disappointment.

Please, no one label him a bust. He was a 5th round draft pick. He had a stellar rookie year, hasnt done a thing since then. Disappointment is the correct word.

Anderson is the exact reason WHY I did not want to release Alex Brown, a guy who had played rather consistently over his career. I didnt think Anderson would ever do shit again. I was right.

Yeah I can't call him a bust, but it is disappointing that he's been garbage since he was so good as a rookie. Imagine Brown and Peppers together.

Letting Brown go, saying they're happy with their personnel on the O-Line, I really wish the McCaskeys gave a shit about this team.

When we signed Peppers I was so happy cause I thought that would be a great combo..then I heard they were going to release Brown and start Anderson..I was like "NOOO!!!!". Brown played in 16 games every season except his rookie year with the Bears. Wasnt the best pass rusher, but could get pressure, and could stop the run, and drop back into pass coverage when needed. Brown is a player the Bears D could use right now. But instead this coaching staff/Jerry Angelo make another bone headed decision with this preferring Anderson because they thought he still had "potential" over a guy who was pretty consistent year in and year out.

Wonder if Corey Wootton will get any action now.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Carolina Hurricanes
  1. Duke Blue Devils
I would have just kept him to rotate him in on every once in awhile.

I like the Charles Grant signing though. I thought he'd catch on with the Dolphins.

I like Amderson. He make a couple good plays Sun. The Defense is playing so well, lets release one. While the OL can sucke and lets keep all those losers on the roster.

The Cubs FO is fucking this shit up bad right now.

Also, I guess Anderson is leading the Bears in pressuring the QB. So, another reasin I don't like it. They release a yound DO for a old DL that couldn't even make a teams this year. I don't like it. I don't see Anderson being unemployed for a long time.

Alex Brown isn't doing much in NO so let's not get too nostalgic about him.

Couldn't the Bears just trade him for a late draft pick? I think they could of.
