Guess it's just principle that

1) the bears should have originally drafted him vs Kmet...but that ship sailed.

2) 2+ years later the bears are paying more than where he was drafted....for a player who's production has slightly tailed off after year 1

3) Poles has stated that he wants to build thru the draft.....but all of a sudden is willing to trade pick #33-40ish for a non #1 wr????

4) basically an admission that his wr draft pick last year is unlikely to be a high end contributor at wr.....returner and gadget guy is his future (maybe that's where he belongs but a steep price to pay for a guy getting a few touches per game

We'll see how this works out as he might fit well with fields and on paper the wr room looks much better

lol
first of all pace/nagy you can thank for kmet
if you listened to poles speak he was shaky on the 2023 wr draft class being strong so if he doesnt make a move here and if you've seen the 2023 fa's its not eye popping... he'd essentially be forced into having to take a WR with his 1st pick

again on vjj, you cant be this ignorant in thinking vjj was going to be some high end contributor this season, should he be returning punts? absolutely but for whatever reason he's fucking that up so now just learn the nuances of the offense and execute, theres still another 9 games for him to work on it.

claypool was at his best in with big ben throwing deep, once 2021 rolled around and big ben was a shell of his former self it was over and then having to play with trubisky and pickett... that must have sucked...fields is similar to big ben in wanting to throw deep, no doubt once the trust forms claypool will produce like he did with big ben.

Everyone seems to think there is a guarantee the Ravens will make the playoffs. The Ravens still have issues even after the Roquan signing (the picks may be closer to each other than most people think). The Bears also are on the wrong side of the SOS this year. Say the Bears do finish with a top 5 pick, then they may also have trade down options where some team may mortgage their future. The Bears got a pretty damn good player at a position that has sucked for 100 years.
The Ravens are in first place. The Bengals are a mess. The Ravens have 9 games remaining and none of the teams remaining on their schedule have a winning record.

Do the Bears draft another WR or do they focus on developing the talent that’s already here? Four of these guys were already drafted in the first 4 rounds.

Why does it matter if the Ravens make the playoffs or if the picks are closer than people think? It wasn't a swap of picks.

An injury or anything can change things. There a bunch of recent trades that teams were expected to finish worse and didn't. No matter how bad Cincy looked, they are still only a game back (never know). If the Browns hang around, Deshaun Watson is back in a few weeks that could make things interesting down the stretch.

Either way, the Bears ended up with Claypool with a weak free agency class coming up.

I hope they do. I hope they use most of the free agency money on fixing the OL and DL. We need 3T, DT and two DE's. We need C and RT on the OL.

Draft Jordan Addison with our 1st round pick.

why do most threads I visit after work include @GEDbears70 making homophobic and ableist 'jokes' while complaining about how many disliked post notifications he gets?

Look in the mirror if your double-wide trailer has one, 'dude'

Think they just go BPA. If they keep the 8 remaining picks I’d imagine one would be a WR but no clue what round.

I was just pointing out that Baltimore has an easy road. I have zero complaints with getting their pick.

Ok my apologies. I should not have indulged your Madden fantasies.
The Bears literally just did this for Claypool but it’s “Madden fantasies”. So if the Bears had 3 WR all worth $20 million dollar contracts you don’t think they could trade any of them for a 2nd?

You’re a clown.
