Eh, I'd say Urlacher is probably the #3 MLB in team history. And yes, Halas definitely gets the call over Ditka: .682 win percentage (318-148-31), 8 championship wins (and 5 loses) over 43 years as a head coach vs Dika at .560% (121-95-0), 1 superbowl win, 6 playoff losses, over 14 seasons (although it should be noted that he put up a .631 win % in Chicago and was just terrible in NO [.313%]).

Holy crap! 43 years as head coach??? I haven't even been alive that long. LOL

Halas never gets enough credit. He was not just a founder, but also an innovator. He understood football as well as anyone. He should certainly be more revered than Lombardi, and I'm sure Lombardi would agree.

I think you have to put Atkins and Dent in the list.

I meant Atkins and Hampton. Dan was pretty much unstoppable at end or tackle. I'm not exactly young, but I have no memories of Atkins. The guy was fearsome, though - dominant is the right word.

Filled in and edited a few players, and gave some players some due.

I agree with most of this excerpt Briggs should be starting over Marshall, imo. I think guards are crossed over too. Pretty sure Bortz was left. But that's nit picking perhaps.

I was a baby during the 85 Bears reign.

This is the most talented Bears roster of my lifetime.

This team on paper is so much better than the 2006 Superbowl team, much of the defense is the same, it is comical.

Are you talking scheme wise on the D? Unless I'm missing something, Tillman and Briggs are the only two left from that 06 D.

Fair enough, I know the names, but I didn't watch the games nor appreciate some of the greater legends. I know I just went to wiki and found HOFers and gave em some due. I know some have more of an interest in older NFL, and I wish they'd share their insight.

I think 1999 Marcus Robinson deserves a spot at WR. 84 receptions, 1400 yards, 9 TD's.

Urlacher gets bumped off? Wow, I really need to see how good the past Bears MLBs were to bump Urlacher completely off.

Ditka vs Halas for coach? Was Halas that much better?

Guess I'm just ole school ... I like the thumpers @ MLB ;) George invented the position and Butkus & Singletary really delivered the hits { why I like the Bostic pick }. Urlacher was good in the scheme he played in, but I like when MLBs play @ the LOS, not covering deep

OK, here's the biggest snub in Bears message board All-Team history. George ConnorHOF, played both sides of the ball, and was an all pro at DT,OT, & LB. Have you ever seen him on any list?

I wish there was a way to watch old Bears games. Some of these names I don't recognize and some of them I know but have never seen them play.

They are all over youtube:

Had Willie Galimore's career not been cut short, you probably would be hearing his name mentioned more often.

Problem there is probably no Sayers.

If he's not starting, I'd take Sayers returning kicks before Hester.

One thing is clear from that game. The Bears still play the same brand of football. And I like that!
