My favorite teams
Bears are kind of synonymous with pro football, I'm sure most Packer fans even appreciate that. http://chi.scout.com/2/384345.html
Filled in and edited a few players, and gave some players some due.
I think 1999 Marcus Robinson deserves a spot at WR. 84 receptions, 1400 yards, 9 TD's.
I think you have to put Atkins and Dent in the list.
I meant Atkins and Hampton. Dan was pretty much unstoppable at end or tackle. I'm not exactly young, but I have no memories of Atkins. The guy was fearsome, though - dominant is the right word.
I wouldn't dream of taking Hampton over Dent. Dent was the one that was unstoppable. IMO both were great/good, but between Dent/Hampton to me it's not even close, in Dents favor.

Plus Peppers has only 3 yrs and 30.5 of his 111.5 sacks as a Bear, so no way he is a better BEAR than Hampton.A defensive line without our best defensive lineman of all time is a travesty. I'm assuming Dan Hampton is injured?
Good Lord that '85 offensive line had some monsters on it.
Aside from Kreutz I'd also add in Big Cat Williams as an HM. He had a very good career for the Bears, but I don't think I'd put him over Covert or Van Horne.
Also would throw pre-injury Tommie Harris into the DT discussion, because he was an absolute force in the middle of that defense.

One great year is not enough! IMO
Hampton played both DT and DE and I believe went to the Pro Bowl from each position. Dent had a reputation for taking plays off, Hampton never did. Both are great HOF players, but I'd give the nod to Hampton for his all-around game. If I just needed someone to come in and pass rush on 3rd down, though, I'd go Dent.
Oh no no no. You cannot use a stat sheet to measure the value of defensive linemen, especially those who played tackle as Hamp did much of his career. The penetration and disruption that he caused was the engine of the 46 defense. To this day he's the best lineman we've had.
