played with a grade 2 sprain

Impossible to get on him for that. Fact is, injury or not he has been invisible the past 3 seasons.

He showed up very effective in the playoffs each season. That Bolly-Folik and Bicks effort was each if them the past two years.

Fantastic playoffs which can't be denied

Have to think that Bickell is going to cash in elsewhere. The way the Blackhawks are built with the core, I don't think they can afford to pay him over $2mil which he should be able to get on the open market. Would be great if he continues to excel and takes a pay cut with the Blackhawks, but I find it unlikely. A great season for him though and a big reason why the Blackhawks won the Cup, so have to tip my hat to him.

So, Uncle Dale in Florida?
The Habs can throw 3.5 at him and he will turn back into the mediocre player seen thru out his tenure on the Hawks sans his great playoffs this year.

Bickell can go. They got what they needed out of him and nothing is gonna change that now.

I like Bickell but I agree with the "He will get his money elsewhere" crowd.... Hawks will experience a purge of non-core players just like last time, and hopefully replenish and win another cup
