My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Michigan Wolverines
  2. Purdue Boilermakers
I made a post about this roughly a couple months ago. The bears have done this with the last 4-5 new, young Qbs they brought in. Fields, Trubs, Cutler, & Rex all had either a new hc or a new oc their second year here. I think the last guy they gave continuity to was McNown. That was 25 years ago. Unless you want to include Orton, who they constantly tried to replace.

So far CJ Stroud is making him look pretty clueless

CJ stroud would have been on IR playing on this team. But okay

This isn't just a QB issue, its a franchise wide issue. The bears never have and never will have the tools to grow a young franchise QB.

There are like 5 QB's going in the first round, one of them for sure will be good.

If you think the bears are going to take that QB tho you are delusional :)
**** 2020 had 5 QB’s and all of them have been either busts or just average (Lawrence)

Excuse me but Lovie actually earned his good graces with this organization. He was a very successful coach here.
Not really. He had a few good seasons and everything else was mediocre. Making the playoffs one time in the last six years of his tenure doesn't scream success to me. People forget how often he was on the hot seat and how it was one of the reasons the bears couldn't get a quality OC here.

Here's Lovies finishes in the division after 06. 4th, 2nd, 3rd, 1st, 3rd, 3rd. Is that successful?

Houston was every bit as bad as the Bears in 2022, yet Stroud led them to the playoffs as a rookie, but, carry on with your excuses

So did you expect Stroud to fix getsys stupid?

Or stroud to teach our center and guards how to block? lol

Stroud should be happy AF the bears and lovie gifted him a good situation. If he went here he'd be on IR, if he went to the panthers he'd be getting his shit pushed in weekly too.

Why hasn't this asshole been fired yet,why prolong the inevitable. If poles hasn't already sent Harbaugh the cash emoji he should be fired as well.

Because he's not being fired lol.

So.....
Black Monday is here and we have a 16 page thread already and nothing has happened up at Halas, one way or the other.

This team is beyond ridiculous. The have to already know what they are doing or maybe they don't.

You dont let a guy do 9 hours of exit interviews just to fire him afterwards.
Its possible they are negotiating with Harbaugh

I'll just call it right now that if we don't fire Flus this year he'll be gone within two more seasons. People are really hitting the copium if they think the needle is pointing up after last night. Poles better spin gold with those draft picks if he doesn't want to continue finishing last in the division.

The complete control thing is something people tell themselves to cope when he isn't hired. He interviewed with Minnesota who had a brand new gm in charge of things that wasn't a hand picked Harbaugh guy and he wanted that job.
We don't know either way...its not a cope if its unknown, just speculation.

Not saying that it can't happen but how do you secure a top or sought after OC under the current circumstances?
$

If you get the Bears offense going, you get a fast track to HC

Precisely - just more of the same ill-timed and ineffective band aids for the same issue that has plagued this football team for as long as any Bears fan has been a fan.
