That game was as monumentally detrimental to Hawks as it was to Sabres playoff chances, leaving them 2.5 games back in a bit of a slide.

Another home win. : Shocked face:

But seriously. 4 of their last 5. What the **** is happening? Trying to drive trade value. Going to be interesting to see what finally happens with Kane and toews

"We've been told about how exciting the 2005s (their birth year) are for a while now," one NHL general manager told ESPN. "It's why a lot of clubs are looking to hold on to their first-round picks this year. Sounds like you can even get first-round talent in the second round, too, and those picks may be stronger than first-round picks [in 2024]."

"I spoke at the GM meetings in November and I told them, 'This draft class is going to live up to the hype,'" the NHL's VP of central scouting, Dan Marr, told ESPN. "But there's a quicker end point than usual. There are 50-60 really good prospects. After that it does start to level off."

Lot's of other stuff.

This team is baffling. What has changed. What has changed. Is it really as simple as trade deadline showcasing?

Everything is going perfect.

Just enough resurgence before the deadline to increase a little stock but we are still in prime lottery position.

Once we dump Stallock (to a starter needy team)and Mazrek (to a back-up needy team)…

That would be enough to finish last imo.

God willing Toews/Kane are finally aligned to concept their final act as Hawks is also the best thing for their career and legacy.

If Kane stays as I have said before, he is so valuable to fringe acquisitions and player development and organization financial health, it’s not all bad. Neither would Bedard learning from an all-timer be.

First tier sales-Kurashev, Domi, Big Johnson, Murphy, Stallock, Toews

Second package of if one then all

Mazrek/Kane/Anathousou

I'm not sure people are going to want a mediocre goal that is in concussion protocol? But I'm all for a fire sale. Anything to get picks that we can use to move up.

I can’t remember which player, but one said they made a few tweaks in the d-zone and transition game. They have played much better

It was really only ungodly ugly when Jones was out.
