It's going to be painful watching Kane pass 500 goals and become the US born points leader on another team... I guess there's still a chance he comes back

If we land Bedard and we have his family...it's gotta be possible.

Get him on a 1 year and do it again. And again. And again until we be somebody.

Hey I think if we get him and/or the other kid who is just a bit too much like Nylander soft.

We can pedal those guys later.
I would 100% take Laff straight up for Kane.

The guy has all the talent in the world but I’d get him a skating coach because that’s his Achilles heel. If he learned to be even a mediocre skater he would be a 40 goal guy. You cannot teach the shot he has.

Kakko, **** him. The pundits openly bragged during the draft how he was nhl ready and the next Hossa. How’d that work out. The guys made of egg shell and has all the tools except an nhl brain.

The Rangers are even more dog piss at developing talent then the Hawks. And that’s saying something.

I think it’s done but the hang up is a third team, Kane getting his farewell at home his way, honored, and the money could be tight enough that it could take all week to get some ink.

It would be awesome if we get Laffrienfriere, but I'm ok with either or both of the 1st round picks they retain.

But hey I get why they have a need to draft a defender in this draft.

I seriously think the third team is going to be the canucks with Krav coming here along with Jones from the Rags along with the Av’s third round pick the Rangers have with the Hawks sending their third rounder to Vancouver.

That’s my guess

Yuck.

But why trade Krav early? And that doesn't seem enough for Kane.

Boeser...would be my target. If I can get Boeser loose the Hawks can take on some real cap and dish to a third team. Where we are a third team for them and they for us.

But Boeser and Laff are guys I wouldn't mind having.

Why do they hate Krav so much? I want some respect on Kane's name here.

4 team trade with us eating Boeser would be awesome.

My final answer on trade guess

Yeah, so the Canucks eat salary of Kane and Hawks get the rangers 2024 first and Canucks 2nd or Wild first.

The Hawks eat Boesers salary for the Wild.

The Wild get Boeser.

The Canucks get Krav and a wild first or two.

Plus some other junk to iron out holes.

It's weird because I think at this point there's been so many moving parts and so much build up and so much movement already that I kind of feel like any trade for Kane is going to be underwhelming

Trading Krav early is all about the cap.

Now hear me out, it makes sense.

Part of me thinks the deal is already done with the Canucks picking up the extra retention. The Rags are winging it and getting as much cap as possible. The Hawks are trading a draft pick to the nucks in exchange for Krav and if Kane backs out they still have Krav. The rangers got nothing in the Krav trade with the Nucks.

This way the hawks get quantity so it doesn’t look so bad when they trade this franchises greatest player, the Nucks still get a draft pick for retaining, and the Rags get the guy who might be able to push them into a deep playoff run.

Ppl don’t understand the Rangers are in danger of not fielding a complete team with one more injury if they take Kane even at 75% retained. They had to trade Krav. Granted with the Lindgren injury they might have a little bit of flexibility but the trade was made before that.

Plus, Bowvidson can also throw out there that he got a former top ten pick for Kane as a smoke screen even tho Krav has the hockey IQ of a constipated shit pebble.

It’s like that scene in Raging Bull where Joe Pesci is trying to tell Jake LaMotta that even if he loses, he wins.

The way Kane did it is for Kane, not the Hawks but who cares. The guy has a NMC they aren't supposed to do this at all.

I don't think we do it without the 2024 first. Krav got moved for salary.

And we might get something from the Wild if we moved Boeser for them, he has a 20 million extension bridge complicating his movement.

Krav would make sense developing in Vancouver or Chicago. He's in Vancouver so I assume that's where he's going. It's no big loss to me.

The 2023 first is ideal, 2024 will do.

Also, no Kane and we still win.

Domi missed some point blank chances to stay hot, played well.

As shitty as this team is, with or without Kane or Toews, they manage to somehow still pull out some wins. As great of players they are or were, it makes me wonder if players relied a bit too much on those two guys instead of focusing on their own games and if coaches did similarly. Opponents would also focus on those two but where do they focus now?

Of course, a lot of us are wishing for a complete tank for the best shot at Bedard but we shall see how things go.

This road trip is realistically a shot at three wins with or without Kaner. (thought for sure Sharks would have put up a better fight being it Marleau jersey retire night) Ducks and Yotes are just as bad as Hawks , the real losing will start after the Deadline when you start facing teams desperate to make the playoffs. Need more Mrazak not Stauber... seems like Stauber is looking at fighting for that #1 goalie job or at least trying to prove he belongs somewhere in the NHL and face it Richardson is getting the message to these guys to compete every night despite lack of talent.

The Hawks iced an AHL team last night and still won.

Goes to show just how strong the tank is thru out the league this year.

Part of me thinks this team is sick of this tanking bullshit. Granted, after the deadline I’m sure the wins will be few and far between but when Bowvidson said that bullshit about sending Reichel down to play meaningful games this has been a different team and I sure as **** don’t blame them.

I also love Gust and the other guy playing their asses off. Funny these guys are up, you know, huge reasons why the Hogs are good, but Reichel is still in Methford.

I’m really getting the vibe this team doesn’t like Kyle Davidson.

I have not seen the Hawks play with that much energy in 5 years. A team of AHL players grinding it out, playing positional hockey, getting in the corners, battling, fighting and playing hard for 60mins.. I certainly dislike the win streak based on the fact that every win pushes the percentage down in acquiring Bedard, however, we are possibly seeing what the future could look like with some hard working players and a good coach. I like many will be extremely dissatisfied if the Hawks can’t draft Bedard or Fantilli seeing how management moved the Cat and Dach out, it would of been for nothing. At this point,, the more draft picks and prospects is what we can look for.
Pat Kane, he has been more than any fan can ask for, his accolades, his play on ice, his championship pedigree, his monumental goals and highlights, but let’s be real here, it’s takes 2 sides and the Hawks gave everything to him to succeed, yes the Breadman and the Cat where shipped out, this is a business and he knows that first hand. But he could of made up his mind and given the Hawks a better opportunity to aquire better options by trading him, which he did not, if not for the thousands of Chicago fans who wore his jersey and bought his merch, cheered him on, backed him in his cabbie incident and when he was accused of rape, we all stood by his side, do it for them not for the assholes in the front office.
