This is a great trade by Stan, just hope we can sign him around 1,5 now.

And Stu, why will we be sorry? As TCD wrote, I dont think anyone in here expect him to be our top D, we got that covered all ready, dont you agree?

I watched him around 10-15 games last year and I was asking for him on the trade deadline aswell, a solid D who isn't doing the fancy stuff, just his job.

Please Stan sign 1-2 forwards that can hit and a secon line center and I will be a happy camper.

He looks like he could be a younger Sopel, which is what the Hawks needs as a bottom pairing D-man. Hopefully they can sign him.

I look at this as an "eh, okay. Let's see how it turns out." kind of deal. He's a relativelt consistent stay at home kind of D man....watched alot of him when the sabres came to DC.

ugh.... everyone is going to hate him... don't worry.... bad move.

Don't bother criticizing me now.... because I will quote and destroy you after you see how bad he is next season. Bad move, Stan.

I may actually be the only one other than you in agreement for a change. He's up and down as a few have said. At the same time, I don't think it could have been any better... It's like getting the leftovers of yesterday's dinner out of the fridge. The UFA class of D-men this year isn't really the best, so we have to take what we can get.

I like the guy, but his time with the Ducks I questioned... similar to Boynton when he was there.

I just hope we don't have another Boynton situation on our hands, but nevertheless the deal had to be done. He's a stay at home D-man with some offensive talent and some good moments, so we'll see how it works out.

Now if we get Bergenheim I'll be a happy camper.

Thats what I was thinking with a bit of a chip on his shoulder and not looking like he's stoned 24/7. If he's slotted for the 3rd pairing he's an upgrade over Hendry/Scott/Boynton from last year.

Its ok, lemmings... I will be sure to bookmark this thread to embarrass you later.

I dunno man I watch A LOT of Sabre games, sit with a former Sabre Season Ticket holder and don't know one Sabre fan that doesn't like this guy.

You remember everything thing in this thread. I think it's a good move.

I have to agree with RK, I went on the Buffalo Blog and they all said great things about him, they were sad he was going, and said he was a class act no issues, not flashy but also not a headcase. Like mentioned he is a good pick up for PK, and could also score. Some Vancouver fans were pissed that we picked him up cause they wanted him to replace Salo.

Stu before you judge a player, give him a chance in our system. Lets see how he does against vancouver before you hang him out to dry.

Good pick up Stan....now please get Leino!

Yes someone needs to tell Stan to give Sean a call. I see a buddy of mine tonight who's a big bolts fan. I have to ask him what the hell is Tampa thinking by not getting this guy under contract.

Lol I know... like I said I'm taking the Chris Campoli approach I did last year when I was very surprised with how he played. Hoping the same thing for Montador. I mean you really can't screw up with a veteran 5-6 dman.

I'm strangely comfortable with this move...

Now, on the back end, just sign Hendry to a league minimum contract and we have out 7th D-man.

What is his rehab status? Any projection on when he'll be ready to play?

Rogers is still trying to find out terms. 2.75 seems a bit much to me.
