Will I get lucky with your wife?[/quote]

I doubt it, but stranger things have happened, I mean she married me... and besides, I'm not sure you want to be unlucky with your wife... Doesn't seem like a very smart tradeoff.

It depends on how much you want to spend. I remember there being several lots only a block or two away that were about $12 for the evening.

i mean it was a pain to find an open lot. i remember a lot of full ones.. hopefully something reasonably close will be open. of course i could always take the train and cab/walk from the station, but i have a feeling we'll be going late into the night and i don't think the trains run too terribly late.

Not going this year. Some belt tightening going on this year. No Ketel One Club for me this year either. Enjoy the festivities everyone!

Love to hear from other IHN members thoughts on the convention this year. So far, had to wait in line for an hour just to get to the ballroom for the opening. Then most all stood from 3-5 PM waiting for the event to begin. After the ceremonies ended, went downstairs to the exhibition hall and it wasn't too bad. Line to the Second City event had already started long ago and appeared to be longer than the wait for opening ceremonies. Anybody think the first 2 conventions were better? Definitely need a new venue for this.

Can't wait to hear the grumblings tomorrow about the wristbands and number of them available. I'll take a pass on that and hit the sessions.

couple things...

I think they sold way too many tickets....I opted to eat lunch instead of wait to get into the opening ceremonies so we watched it from the other ballroom, dont remember having to get in line that early for the opening ceremonies last year

The scratch off system needs to be fixed...I went 0-6 :x and the guy next to me went 4-4

I personally think they should do more for Hotel guests, for example Soxfest only hotel guests can attend friday night or even 2 autographs per room (it blows to wait in that line alone)

I usually am not really a huge fan of waiting for autos but I got Larmer today so that was really exciting...I don't think I will be trying to get any tomorrow (maybe Hall but I think that may be a pipe dream)

All those negatives...but I do think they are some positives

I think there are more vendors this year

And I cannot wait until the seminars tomorrow there are some pretty cool ones lined up

Skipped the Opening Ceremonies. Skipped the Second City event. Spent the evening in Kitty O'Shea's with GotHimSome, Demon, Mill500, Jakostalker, Erika Lynn, RK, Phrank...et al.

THAT'S how to celebrate a Hawks 'Cup!

The line-waiting has been pretty lousy so far. I think this may be our last convention. It's just . . . weird to me. I dunno.

The major highlight -- we got into town a day early and hit Kitty's on Thursday night and who showed up but Lord Stanley! So we got to touch the Cup and take our pictures with it (which apparently won't be allowed during the official Convention "visitation" with Stanley). Our weekend was complete right then and there!
