Stan Bowman: "If you’re relying on the free agent period in July to save your team, that’s not the prescription you’re looking for."

If those are the lines, I can definitely live with them. Only difference I could see would be Smith on the fourth line instead of Hayes.

And that is why Stan Bowman should win GM of the year...have a plan and stick with it.

People bash him all the time for not making moves at deadline or in free agency...yet he's made a bold decision to stay with this "core" and its paid off.

He contributed to this Cup not the first one. Tallon built that team.

OK? I didn't say otherwise, but maybe you were referring to Frankie.

Bowman could have gave in when we all thought Bickell was hot garbage, wanted Bolland gone, Kaner gone, etc. etc. Drafted Shaw and Saad and sent them through the pipeline.

All I'm saying is, for as much bashing as Stan and Q get on here, they've done a hell of a job in constructing the roster, and responding to adversity.

I feel there have been a few prospects to pass Smith on the depth chart. He gets a lot of love for that GWG in game 6 against the Canucks, but I don't see him making the roster unless he's 100%

Btw, general news I didn't hear before watching CSNs interview with Sharp.

Keith has a broken thumb and Seabs had some hand injury as well. Never saw that in any injury mentions.

Fucking A on Tapatalk

Huh, I thought I heard the Blackhawk coaching staff say, "The entire team has an upper body injury" during a presser in the playoffs... hmm.

The Blackhawks have agreed to terms with Drew LeBlanc, Theo Peckham and Michael Kostka.

LeBlanc's was a 2 yr deal.

Joey Tribiani (sp?) back in the fold...YES!! Okay terrible reference, but still excited. Get him in camp and see what he can do.

Assume the other two are just organizational filler for the Hogs.

Okay, now, can we please get Johns signed already?

Have you seen that for sure? I have read comments from him that suggested he was staying, and then some that suggested he was going pro. Really hoping he decides for the latter.
