dont you have to wait a year to trade someone after signing them?

Does that count if they go to arbitration? I thought it was if you signed your offer sheet, or if you match another team's offer sheet.

Maybe I am wrong.

I was half right. He never signed an offer sheet. This was a contract offer.

Therefore he can still be traded.

I dont get this signing. There is no point to this.

Stalberg is a garbage player. He is 25 years old, do we have to wait until 30 before he learns hows to skate other than straight, or learn how to stick handle.

But the rebut will be, "oh he was on a bad line" guess what? he doesnt belong on the top lines.

He will be traded. Has speed that some teams are looking for and is coming at an extra cheap cap hit.

that doesnt say much when we had no physical players on our team.

they could be counting him skating into players with his head down.

I don't have a problem with Stalberg on this team. I have a problem if he is counted on being a top 6 forward. I don't think that is what will happen even if he is with the team when the season starts.

Free agency didn't net the splash that I and a lot of fans wanted, but we added a lot of depth which was missing last year. And we have a fair bit of cap room left. I would hope that we can make a move or two prior to the season start, but how nice would it be to have cap room to make a deal at the deadline for the first time in what three seasons?
