You better pray to whatever God you believe in (or don't) that John Scott doesn't dress against Vancouver. That team is to loaded with talent from top to bottom to waste a roster spot on a guy that doesn't do anything but fight. If he is on the blue line he is going to be expolited by any line he is matched against vs. Vancouver.
WHile I do not believe that the role of enforcer has died completely, it has changed greatly and John Scott is among the last of a dying breed. The days of the enforcer that does nothing else and can't play his position are quickly fading away. There are still guys that do it Boogaard and Jody Shelly being the first to jump to mind. Even guys like Raitais Ivanans and George Parros can play there positions to an adequate degree. Team toughness is becoming the order of the day. Having guys that are willing to answer the bell and maybe a guy or 2 like a Jarred Boll that can play to a greater degree than a traditional enforcer.
