Looks like Blackhawks may still be the frontrunners for Reilly.

Really love Bowman's approach to signing UFA prospects. LeBlanc, TVR, Baun, Carey, Panarin, Raanta etc. While some (or likely most overtime) of these players will amount to nothing at the NHL, the best thing is that it didn't cost the Blackhawks anything to sign them except a contract spot and money (Which would have gone to someone else anyways). Obviously we have seen quite a few of these players at the NHL level already and their ELC will be a big thing going forward. Didn't have to trade for them, use a pick on them, etc.

Fit wise, I can imagine the Hawks would be attractive, but if his dad really is a minority owner in the Wild, that would also make sense to me.

Sharp can take a hike but I really hope there is a way we can keep Seabrook. He has scored so many crucial goals for us. This team would not be the same without him. He has his fuckups, sure but who doesn't? I'd really miss him if we can't keep him. It would disgust me to see him in another uniform.

They'll get rid of Crow before Seabrook, but probably don't even have to.

Bicks and Sharp frees up $10M of cap space. Oduya another $3.3M. Richards, Vermette, Timmonen, Versteeg, and various 4th liners also expendable/not resigned. If they have to, replace Shaw with Hartman.

Seabs ain't going anywhere.

Win the cup, party over the summer, watch the kids grow next year, make another run in 2017. That's the plan.

Not sure Shaws contract is even worth trying to move considering the value he brings for 2mill a season (Can play on any line, aggressive on the forecheck, gotten better defensively, can play center, PP, has skill, hustles like no other).

The problem with a bunch of the names you mentioned is that their contracts are already up and thus not bringing them back doesn't "free up" any space. Names like Oduya, Richards, Vermette, Timonen, etc.

The Hawks have to move players who are under contract, hence the reason why Sharp and Seabrook could be done with the team real soon.

Completely agree on Shaw. And he's been fucking awesome this postseason. Love him on the wing.

Can't see anyway they can dump Seasbrook and let Oduya walk when you look at what they'd have left. At 33, as much as I like how he's stepped up in the playoffs this year Oduya has to be left unsigned but Seabs will probably stay. Sharp might bring back something worthwhile but Bickell will be a basic give away and while they're in the giving mood, they should include Versteeg on that list as well. There could very well be a turnover of 10 or more players if you include trades and players left unsigned. One thing for sure is that we'll find out soon how well Stan drafted....probably also find out if Q's winning is because of his coaching or a by product of having a lot of talent.

This might be a blessing is disquise....if they want to continue to play the puck possession style they play...they need to get faster, younger, and a bit more skilled. Tampa Bay is opening their eyes to that in nearly every game of this series.

So, Crow or Seabs?

Easy decision if you ask me, which you did not.

And in no universe would I dump Seabs to keep Shaw around. He can be more easily replaced than #7.
