Biggest "acquisition" could truly be if Sharp moves over to 2c. Would solve a lot of problems and the Blackhawks have plenty of players who could potentially handle that 2lw spot in Frolik, Stalberg, or Shaw.

Blackhawks won a cup with Toews, Sharp, and Bolland up the middle...so why not?

I forgot about Carcillo, but I guess i'd swap him in and out with Kruger or Handzus when needed

Judging by some people, you'd think the Blackhawks were left for dead and were gonna miss the playoffs.

No, some people want a certain hole that continues to be ignored for the last 3 years, called a real #2 center.

Yea, that is my initial thought as well. I might like to see Shaw on that second line over Stalberg though. Shaw is a better finisher than Stalberg and can get a little dirty in the corners and crease. Stalberg can also use his speed effectively on his own offensively and defensively.

Should be interesting and just really hoping that Sharp goes back to center. The only concern right off the bat is how he will be at faceoffs coming off a shoulder injury, but hopefully that is completely healed.

The shortened season and injuries just killed the Blackhawks' chance of acquiring a more "traditional" second line center. Always thought Weiss would have looked good there and the trade connection was there as well, unfortunately the injury hit. Also thought that Little would have been an option but the Jets are in the thick of things in a terrible SE division.

Only "centers" that were traded that could have made sense were Jokinen (usually plays wing, has years remaining, all 29 teams passed on him when put on waivers) and Roy (could have been an option and indications were that the Blackhawks were in on him, just didn't get him for whatever reason). Not really counting Brassard because he was traded for Gaborik (not for picks/prospects)...a head scratcher of a deal for Columbus in my opinion.
