I will probably now keep it open for another week as hawkposter reminded me of the people not getting a chance to voice their opinions. so I will make sure even those who are on business trips and vacations get their chance next week when these influx of fans that we have get back.

haha really not that big of a deal and a few other posters agreed in a pretty short time. No reason to get upset about it. I just thought it was easier to talk about the trade deadline and quote people in the original thread. Shouldn't have been a big deal...

Once again, I apologize for wanting to talk hockey?

What you arent seeing is the balance of talent coming closer together from teams VS the hawks instead of staying the same like it was when they were on their streak. hell they could have expanded it. They arent as good as their record indicates...im sure we all know that. How many OT wins? how many 1 goal wins? Its not like they were running away with games. So you have last years kings make moves, and they closed the gap and eventually won the cup. Thats where im going with all of this.

Also you dont have to like that site, all it is, is bowmans full transaction history.

If this was maybe 10-15 games total (or fewer) into the season, then I might agree with you with that the Hawks aren't as good as their record indicates. But this team has played 35 with 5 regulation losses and 8 total. I don't think you can persuade me, Dews; it's been too many games.

What the **** did I just read? Maybe there was one real post on this entire page (25 posts per page).

And I disagree with a lot of what has been said before the stupid shit.

"First off you have no idea how sharp and hossa will be" They have 13 games to recover before playoffs, most players do.
"You have some bad depth on this team. besides the core the rest are pretty much ehhh with exception to the rising of saad." - Kruger? Stalberg? Shaw? Leddy? or did the core just get a lot more inclusive?
" if you lose 1 member or the core, this team is not deep enough to win the stanley cup, add the fact that the goaltending numbers are good, dont fool yourself into thinking we have an elite tandem." Ya, take Crosby out of Pittsburgh, results already disastrous in the small sample size, but even with that withstanding, they wouldn't go all the way without him
"not adding a 2c is really bad, and it was a pressing need" Think needs on this team have been overstated, not like we've been losing games with a full lineup
"Looking forward to when they're golfing early again." Why am I not surprised?
"I would say Stalberg, Shaw, Kruger, and Saad are solid complementary players. I don't know how much of those players were Tallon's picks, but still they are producing for the current. " He said except Saad! :fist:
" I actually met Stan at Navy Pier a few years ago. the guy is an arrogant asshole." definitely enough time for you to know his personality and how it affects his hockey operations
"Fans can be little cheerleaders, sheep, and meatballs etc..." We need ice girls NOW
" I believe as well that Bowman is loving the record not because of the team but the fact that if they go home early it will be very easy to fire Coach Q, something that I believe he really wants to do. So why help Q get the cup again." If you think he WANTS to lose just to get Q fired, take off the tin foil cap please.
"all you have to do is look at the kings last year. their moves closed in on the gap and they eventually won the cup." contradiction alert considering you've always mentioned how they can't be used as an example as an eighth seed since they weren't your ordinary 8th seed but just major underachievers in the regular season
"http://www.chicagonow.com/chicago-sp...q-to-montreal/" I can't believe you just posted a link to that garbage ass site
"What you arent seeing is the balance of talent coming closer together from teams VS the hawks instead of staying the same like it was when they were on their streak." And we're still better than everyone except maybe Anaheim, who didn't do all that much either

1st in Goals per game and 2nd in Goals against per game. This team is for real. Will it translate to the playoffs? Who knows, all about match ups but this is a very solid team.

Judging by some people, you'd think the Blackhawks were left for dead and were gonna miss the playoffs.

It's more fun to pretend the regular season matters at this point after basically clinching a playoff spot a third of the way through the season
