every one of his posts are wrong, and misdirected. If I see someone throwing a rubber ball against the wall trying to get it to stick, I will call them out. That is why he is the strawman. He also goes to "you're a modz and im here for goodszz discussionz" when he cant get himself out of a debate.

JNTG doesnt know a whole lot about hockey, but he is new to the sport and still learning, posters like that I can lay off of, but so called "i know everything but I dont look at any statsz" users I will call out every.single.time.

Pft, I now know why I stay far away from this forum (posting wise).

HawkPoster thinks he's a know it all about hockey.

Maybe TSN should hire him.

Yeah im only in this section when I get bored. Its either no one posting, or something stupid coming from one of the users.

Hockeyy Insiderr has said that he was drafted in the 93 draft, and has the initials AD, DD, or PM. He also said that he went straight from the draft to the NHL and played in Europe. He is claiming to be Alexandre Daigle.

the fact that he has 31k in followers leads me to believe he is somewhat legit. I would need proof that he is a "hack". telling me he is because one says so doesnt do much for me. Now if he had 200 followers there may be some substance to the "hack" thing.

he has 31k followers :dunno:

Ya, and the one guy that makes shit up about how the Pens got Parise and Suter and were preparing an announcement had a shitload of followers too... doesn't mean shit.

And I've gotten better with hockey

Goalies are always more valuable than almost any other player (with the exception of Evgeni Malkin of course)... if they are decent at all. Basing this off point shares.

So say we bring in Ryan Miller, and trade ONLY Patrick Kane.
Miller brings in an 11.4 PS, Patrick Kane and his 6.9 PS leave. Net gain of 4.5, right?

Kane's leaving brings in somebody else to take his spot on the roster. Kane is one of four Centers on the Depth Chart on the website, so we either call somebody up or move Sharp to 2nd line center (not looking like we'll sign anybody right now, if there are even any 2C's left).

Moving Sharp to Center gives Bollig or Hayes a job on the 4th line, barring additional trades for the sake of simplicity and point-making. Bollig was a negative PS, Hayes was a 0.8... I would still expect improvement from Hayes, but just plugging it in there for now. So we gain 5.3 PS total.

Crawford and his 7.3 PS get less playing time as a result of Miller coming in. Ray Emery and his 3.8 PS leave, making the net gain only 1.5 PS. Hayes goes up a bit, but not too much, and Crawford's PS goes way down due to lack of playing time, therefore it can't accumulate.

There's a pretty decent chance that the overall net PS with playing time going down for Crawford and up for Hayes still ends up a negative from this move. A 4.1 PS improvement between the pipes, but probably a greater loss from Kane to Hayes.

The number of followers has nothing to do with how legit he is. Eklund has 135,000 followers, so that means absolutely nothing.

Hockeyinsiderr was recently burned with Parise and Suter. He said that Parise signed with the Pens and that they were simply waiting to release the details until after the weekend. Also said that Suter signed with the wings.

Lucky for him, he wasn't like incarceratedbob (or whatever his name is) who went on and on with that and refused to let it down even after it was basically said that it wasn't true.

He came up with some cockamamie trade that never transacted; I cannot remember what it was to provide you with proof. Sorry, I wish I could. This type of speculation is good for not-so-serious conversation, at best....at the level of Ek.

Again this is what he has claimed. I find what he says to be highly unlikely. I follow him because it is funny to watch him overreact to things like the way he got into with it Darren Dreger a month ago or the deadspin article.

but I guess we shouldnt follow jaeckel, ecklund, rogers, rozner, sassone, etc since all of them have stated rumors that never happened.

and jntg.... you cant really justify PS goalie vs position player.

Goalies are more valuable to a team, yes...but not in terms of the market value. I hope you didn't spend too much time with this research. :(

You can...but you can't say that someone is legit because of the number of followers they have.

All of those guys will be wrong if you consider it wrong when a rumor doesn't come true.
