If you follow the rumor hounds, you have to realize it's for the speculation and not substance. That's the big thing. I know full well sources deliberately use Ek for spreading information and misinformation. It would be stupid for organizations not to. Ek gets slammed a lot for reporting the outlandish things his sources tell him, but he does it for the sake of generating conversation, hits, and revenue.

I didn't think they'd equate, but then Hockey-reference's Point Shares leaders were almost entirely goalies, with no separate total PS without goalies ranking, so I changed my mind thinking that they both were equivalent.

The Chicago Blackhawks. I was told this by a few sources over the last 48 hours that the Hawks have interest in Evander Kane and Shane Doan and are currently putting together a huge offer for Kane...

In Doan's case I am hearing the ever tipping scale is tipping back towards the Coyotes and this week, especially the first few days of this week, are when we are most likely to see a resolution with Doan signing in Phoenix...

Evander Kane is a totally different situation. In many ways the Kane story reminds me of the Jordan Staal story from earlier this summer. While Kane is not "asking to be traded" as some have reported, it appears the door is at least a bit open to such an outcome...and the Hawks could be putting together the kind of package that nudges the door even further...

Eklund...but not much else going on at all. So...worth posting.

Hrm - I have zero followers ... and think Twitter and Farcebook are total rubbish -my mileage doesn't vary on that- and it is clear that I am in the minority (then again being into hockey -that was always automatically the case anyways).

Here's -my- rumor .... nothing is going on; nothing will go on until the CBA is agreed to - and anyone that claims otherwise (especially those with "followers" - ooooh look at moi - I gotsa posse (bfd)... is 99.9999999% full of shit (and doing it for other purposes than to be a community font of information with no ulterior motives whatsoever) - end of story.

Since there is nothing going on - I, personally, got nothing to say about the NHL right now - and am not into forcing thingsa just for the sake of generating a conversation (again while my mileage doesn't vary -it is pretty clear that others do ).

Ok fine - but that doesn't change the fact that there is nothing going on - outside the CBA negotiations - anywhere within the NHL.
