How long is the appeal going to take, and how much will it cost?

Legally states cannot declare bankruptcy. Otherwise California and Illinois would have already done it. The 2% tax increase isn't going to pay down debt either. It's being used as 'givebacks' to keep companies from bolting Illinois. Several companies have already renegotiated tax breaks to stay in Illinois and others are pursuing this route as well (i.e. Sears).

No shit Sherlock. It's calling fucking sarcasm. I did go to school at some point in the past 42 years.

I watched them win the Cup I could care less if I have season tickets. This State is about the ASSHOLE of America, or very close.



Center Ice looks more and more appealing every day.



Also I can move and still keep my tickets.

Only choice is to settle over the border in Indiana. Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan are too far. And that ride to/from the UC from Indiana is still a haul.

who cares? everyone appeals - it's part of the process. So we can't say we're wasting tax payer money on appeals. It goes hand-in-hand with a conviction.

Do some research and look it up my find feathered friend. It depends if the Panel reviewing it requests a hearing, which with this high profile case, I'm sure they would.

Yep - and the media likes to call it "the Chicago way" as if this doesn't happen in other states. (Although I'm not sure if another state has sent 2 governors back-to-back to prison).

I'd also like to find out how, after the publicity of the first trial, it was possible to even SEAT another jury that was impartial. Not a fucking chance. The guy is a scum bag no doubt, but this was a fiasco from the start. One that cost FAR MORE MONEY than the crimes he's even accused, and will CONTINUE to cost us money for the next decade or more. Awesome!!!! ILLIONIS IS AWESOME!!!
