Well if there was no one else around at the time blocking them just compounds the problem because as you say, someone could be coming from over a hill. If you let them pass you then at least they might be able to avoid that scenario. Afterwards, it's not your problem.

Did you even bother to read that little book "The Rules of the Road" ?

Solid line = no pass

Broken line = can pass

Solid line side can't pass if it's a double line.

Double Solid Line = Don't stop traffic for emergency vehicle on oncoming side(it creates more traffic)

At 4 way stop, first car, then right turn has the right of way, and north-most has the right of way when everyone comes to a stop at the same time.

No Engine Breaking zones means no down-shifting without brakelight signals meant for trucks(jake-braking).

You were either

(a) speeding up well above the speed limit to try to block them- which makes the situation even more dangerous [and also hypocritical seeing as you are sooooo worried about those two "women" breaking the the law{it seems as though your real issue is that you lack respect for women}].

(b) going way too slow initially to where any polite driver would simply let the people behind you pass.

or (c) one of the above in addition to swerving into the on-coming lane yourself just to block them from passing you. I hope you aren't that reckless.
