Ya, if you watch enough, you don't notice or care about the voice, the man knows his stuff and that's what matters. (Kasper)

Doug Glanville is another name being thrown around. I'd be for that.

I watch the same amount of cubs games as I do sox games....his voice will always annoy, his enthusiasm will always annoy, his yuppy tendencies will always annoy.......thats just me. again like in the hawks forum, just because you feel a certain way doesnt mean others dont feel different.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. Personally, I think Len's great, but I've listened to him enough that I don't notice the high-pitch-cracking-like-his-nuts-just-dropped-voice... Of course, I love his enthusiasm, it's what Cubs fans are...always optimistic, always hopeful.

Dewy, you watch Hawk all season, what's worse than that...

I'm actually happy Stone is staying with the WS, I wouldn't want him back. I would rather have a new guy...

Also, another name could be Dan Plesac... but that's on the low-end.

I honestly didn't say anything of the sort that you had to agree with me here. I replied with my opinion.

I heard the Cubs are interested in Carmen de Falco. If he turns down the Cubs, their next choices are Dave Juday and Fred Huebner. Dan Jiggets is also "in the mix".

I don't really pay as much attention to the media but I assume these are Chicagoland brand names. I think as long as they can call a good game, I'm cool with whatever they decide. I'd like someone to maybe talk about unusual shifts (not just the exaggerated lefty pull-shift), where the outfielders are, and generally keep the viewer apprised of all the base/out situations. It's not as big of a deal on TV as on the radio though.

Why wouldn't you want Sutcliffe? Not a loaded question...just wondering.

He's ok. His analysis would probably be better than KWs, I've just never really enjoyed listening to him. no idea why, really.

Sometimes it's the voice or the mannerisms.

That's what the mute button is for
