I don't think we are going to be doing a whole lot. That pick will be a late lotto pick at best and I wouldn't be surprised if we used the rest of the money to resign Miller, sign a mediocre sg and bank the rest or get guys that make a couple mill.

The other thing to note is that lineup would have been a lot cheaper before. Boozer was trying to get 5/60 last year and BG could have been ahd for 6/54.

Boozer has always played with okur. Can he play with Noah? Is having an opposing center in the paint with him going to hamper his game?

We couldn't have locked Gordon up for that at the point when we were (supposedly) getting Boozer. But we've been over this like 100 times already. Part of me hopes we trade the Bobcats pick + our space to Detroit for Ben Gordon just so all Bulls fans can be on the same page. ;)

Great signing. We were the best rebounding team in the league last year, now add Boozer...wow. It might not be the sexy pick like Bosh was, but it brings us a low post presence that we have not had in a very very long time. I also believe Boozer along with Thibo brings us back to being a grity team, except this time we will have talent to go along with it.

Also I will call it now, Taj will be a front runner for 6th man of the year.

Bulls, as long as we add shooters, will probably finish in the top 4 in the east IMO. If we get Lebron we are no doubt favored to win the title with the Lakers.

lol it won't take all the cap space or the pick but its the thought that counts.

BG could have clearly been locked up before.

Hard to tell. If you look at the Jazz lineup data on 82games, it looks like he was more effective with Millsap than Okur.

I read on real gm that utah is looking into a sign and trade, exactly what would they want off our current roster?

Deng? Taj? Who knows? Who cares. We have Boozer without the S&T anyway.

I'd guess it'd just be a conditional second rounder (conditions unlikely to be met) so they can have a trade exception.

This is huge. LeBron has to think twice now.

**** that, if Bron wanted to come here, he and Bosh would be here. If they carried about winning, they'd be here. Fucking media whore.

If Lebron goes to Miami tomorrow, they obviously care more about winning. No one else will have a chance.

With absolutely no roster? Yea not bloody likely. Bosh against Gasol & Bynum....hahahahha good luck. I'm sorry I have to agree with Shakes. If those 3 plus the best of the best in the NBA could barely beat Gasol & Spain with a bunch of Euro players I don't think they are just breezing thru the NBA elite with a bunch of vet minimums around them.

Anyways I don't think Lebron's Jupiter-sized ego will be able to handle being second fiddle to Miami-Wade County.

I completely disagree. Your crazy man.
Wade, Lebron and Bosh is all you need. Surround them with WNBA players and they still will compete for a championship. Chalmers would be their Rondo. No, they don't even need a Chalmers, they'll win with Erick Snow..
C'mon man.. It's Lebron and Wade. Those two are the only ones who need to touch the ball. They don't even need Bosh lol... Those guys are young and hungry and amazing. Arguably the two best players in the NBA, you can argue Durant and Kobe i guess.
I don't see Bosh as hungry as those two though.

He's not going to Miami, he can't give up being the man or have it challenged with a guy like Wade. Too similar, if they got a younger Ray Allen or something it'd be different.

If they can dump MB, they can have 3 mill to resign Hasleem to play C, Chalmers, Wade, Bron, Bosh and Hasleem can compete with the Lakers.

Yeah, maybe they can win, I'm not denying that. But I think all this talk that you hear of it not even being worth watching, the title is decided for years, etc is rubbish.

Looking at SGs, there's really a limited number of options if we require a guy who is both young and can shoot. Outside of Morrow & Reddick, one guy I think we should consider is Thornton. We know the Hornets want to cut salary, and surely dumping Okafor is preferable to dumping Paul.

I wonder if we could work something out with them, Okafor would be pretty good in a three big rotation of Noah/Boozer/Okafor even if he is overpaid, Thornton would fill our SG needs nicely. Obviously the enticement for the Hornets is they dump 50 million in salary, but we have cheap assets like JJ or Gibson and picks we could send back too.

or we could trade rose for paul. i'd like that trade. it might change lebron's mind.
