After reading the full report, re-reading parts to make sure I got it right, Beaches statements, and other articles/research here are my BIG and IMPORTANT questions that need to be answered.

-What did the management actually know?
-Beach story
-Aldrich story
-Woman story (different night? Beach claims she never came up to the apartment)
-Was Black Ace 1 more involved?

-Paul Vinccent is said to be the first person who was told. What did he do with the info? He has police experience, and is being called a hero now.

-Jim Gary claims to only know much minor details like propositioning, explicit texts, drinking, career threats, and possibly the 'consensual' group sex
-Did Beach tell him everything?
-Did Jim Gary downplay what he was told to management?

- Did Beach want to involve law enforcement?
-If the Hawks report it they need his cooperation
-The details in the report sadly show that Aldrich would probably not be charged unless harassing texts would be enough evidence or a crime in itself.

-*HUGE* did management ever meet with Aldrich (Im sure they did)
-There is some reason that they felt keeping Aldrich around the team was ok.
-Did they conclude that Beach was lying or that everything was consensual?
-Im sure management at least saw text messages as proof.
-Was Aldrich told to cut film, go home, and dont communicate with our players?

-What did the players really know? Were there really rumors all over the locker room?
-Team meetings? (Guys forget the rumors they are all untrue lets win the cup)

-WHO WERE THE BULLIES?
-Story of Beach and Black Ace 1 joking about the situation
-Did this make other players feel comfortable joking about it?
-Could it have been more fringe AHL guys who spent a lot more time with Beach?
-Could it be opponents who had issues with Beach and used the rumors as ammo?

-Why let Aldrich be part of the parade, team outings, day with the cup, banner raising etc?
-Again they either didnt know how bad it was or just wanted to keep appearences.

-Did the Blackhawks provide any references?
-It seems like the Q review is just internal
-Aldrich says he never used anyone from the Blackhawks as a reference
-His dad is/was with the Sharks, employers can just look at media guides or anything to confirm. He had no legal record to worry about
-The most recent article I found about the positive references suit says that Aldrich day with the Cup is enough of a reference

-Did anything happen at ND?
-He was employed there directly before and after the Blackhawks
-ND will not cooperate at all

-How is Miami Ohio off the hook and said to have acted correctly?
-Very similar incidents with undergrad students
-He was put on leave and resigned
-Obviously nothing legal happened because he went straight to the high school and abused a 16 year old.

I think this is all I have...

Overall the Blackhawks management failed this situation no matter how minor they may have thought the incidents were. A coach should not be hanging out with players getting underrage players alcohol, sending sexual harrassing texts and especially having even consensual situations with players. Thats even if they refused to believe it was assault.

Unfortunately even 2010 was a completely different society than now. Only a small percentage of people think its ok to say "I reported this to my superior and they handled it"
In 2012 Penn State had much larger groups defending Paterno on many more incidents, with young kids, over a much longer span of time because he reported what he knew and figured Sandusky must just have a lot of people not like him,

The players:
Sopel and Boynton - what did they really KNOW besides "everyone knew" since they want to talk so openly, and I hope they do
Kane, Toews, Keith - I get that Bowman and Q basically helped raise you, but you can't come out publicly saying they are great and amazing people.
Sharp, Seabs, Hossa, Ladd, Buff, Versteeg, Campbell, Bolland, on and on. I get that they must be relieved to not be in the spotlight, but it would be very helpful for guys like that to speak up.

Beach really needs to name players who were harassing him. If not other members of those teams need to step up to defend themselves or to call out the offenders as a show of support to Beach,
And if Beach doesn’t have 100% proof that the players he names said those things, that’s slander. So it’s not going to happen.

If you are going to witch hunt, start with the names of the people who Boytoun name dropped and go from there.

Beach still follows Toews and Shaw on Twitter, for all the flack Toews is getting, I really don’t think Beach would still be following Toews if Toews did him wrong.

Chevy cleared by Betteman. Gary, Chevy was in the meeting, he could have went to the police just like everyone else.

Rocky campaigning to have Aldrich’s name removed from a Cup he never should have had his name put on in the first place. Too little too late.

And listening back, how come Bernstein on the Score made this whole situation about himself and said if the Hawks were good currently the “cultist” Hawks fans would have been attacking him over all this?

One really minor thing here that I think is also important that is getting looked past because we think of these hockey players as grown ass men, and I know he's Canadian so maybe he grew up with different laws, but he was still just 20 when this happen. Wasn't even of legal age and I don't think I've heard the discussion talk about the fact that he was also illegally supplying booze (and presumably drugs) to someone underage. This to me alone seems to be a huge red flag as the number one move of a sexual predator. First thing they do is booze up the minor. I would think even without all the other stuff, that should have been enough for the organization to have fired him. Even if they didn't want to wade into the sexual assault waters, they had an easy excuse for firing beyond that.
I mention it in my giant final reaction post a bit before yours

Maybe I'm wrong here because I get all these sports personalities mixed up, and if so please correct me, but wasn't Bernstein one of those dicks that always ripped on the Hawks and hockey in general before the Blackhawks were good? Then when they were good, he tried to change his tune because all sports personalities suddenly had to actually cover the Blackhawks again -- and when this happened the fan base ripped him a new one for his hypocrisy? If so, then that's why he's reacting this way -- he's still touchy because he was called out for what he is and he has an axe to grind with the fan base, by desperately trying to label them hypocrites, with an argument based purely on a hypothetical. He's essentially trying to turn the tables now and do what the Hawk fan base did to him. Either way, that guy is a clown and he knows it, hence why he's so defensive.

He is one of the people who read the horrible parts in the report like Beaches side of the story or Bowmans quotes about McD and Q and say cancel the whole organization.

There are so many unknown questions that need to be answered (which I posted on page 11)

Yes, he was.

Bernstein is a complete narcissist, but he does bring up a few things from out of nowhere during his take on this situation and says this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of Hawks questionable tactics.

The guy WAS friends with McDonough

Then his teammates need to SHOW the cultural change and and come out with him.

Not trying to witch hunt, but it would be nice to know if I should feel ok rooting for Toews and Kane. Or celebrating their careeers in the future with the other players from that roster.

No one even needs to name players specifically. If Beach said "I think most players on the 2010 team heard rumors, and a lot of the Cup winners bullied me about it."
vs somthing so general like "I believe everyone knew (knew WHAT? Rumors? The whole story? Did you joke about it with Black Ace 1 in front of teammates?) Everyone knew and I was bullied openly in front of office staff and media" (Ice Hog teammates? Opponents who had past issues with you? Main players on the Blackhawks roster?)

Honestly, the time has passed that anybody can root for those guys any more, guilty or not.

This is why cancel culture is the worst social media machine ever created.

Carcillo is milking this for everything he can and he’s a complete nutjob.

Completely unrelated. This is about the big CTE movement going on, and where Carcillo comes in.

Carcillo was on the Jay Cutler podcast, and claims that the Blackhawks blackballed Montador because he got his own medical treatment. Carcillo said that the Blackhawks made Montador stay in Rockford while they should have let him be on the 2013 cup team... He played 14 games in Rockford in 2013 after the last concussion which was 3/4 into the 2011/12 season.

He could have been claimed on waivers in March 2013 by any NHL team.

It would have been nice to have Montador on the roster for the 2013 playoffs, but he probably would not have made the lineup after missing a full season due to concussion and 14 AHL games.

Okay, the self-righteous,finger pointing old **** Vincent who's made out to be a hero and is claiming he's vindicated in an article is the coach the victim actually went to as already mentioned and he had a law enforcement past(also mentioned). Did he go directly to HR or the law.....he did not! Did he go to HR or the law after the meeting he was so upset about? He didn't then either. If he did at that point as he should have this is all different because he's the ONLY guy with the first hand account yet he escapes everyone's wrath. Vincent laid the issue in the laps of higher ups thereby implicating them instead of doing what was right or was he just following orders like Q .
The report says McD waited till the cup was won to go to HR around mid June which is indeed wrong on his part but since it did go to HR.....I GAURANTEE Rocky knew! This is still a small family run Co. and somebody in HR has to let the owner know.......GAURANTEED! Since there's blood letting make this fat, lying jagoff sell the team.

Chevy the ast GM at the time gets off scott free after hearing the same things Q heard and doing nothing himself....WHY?
Because Bettman and the mob already have their pound of 'Q flesh' and care about little else....indignation aside.

Did the victim go to HR or report this attack to the law? He did not which is understandable but he still did not and many victims do.

Was it the threats of the baseball bat or the threats of damaging the victim's career that made him comply? If it was the threats of damaging his career then why comply only to report it right away? Had to be the bat.

Did Torchetti or Havland know? Did they do anything or did they also follow orders?

How about the trainer, the equipment guy? Did they do anything since a few people claim everybody knew .....also follow orders?

Another article said the Captain should have demanded the CEO do something.....barge into his office at @21?

Kane and Toews both will get shit on but since everybody knew, did the saintly Marian Hossa know? Did he do something or are we much more selective than that with our outrage?

And why is an actual abuser of players still behind the team's bench FFS? Was HIS career blown up? How about the people who just knew of his abuse.......pound of flesh from any of these *******?

In the end,Q was told by higher ups to coach the team and they'd handle it.....and coach the team he did. We hadn't seen anything like it for 49 years and probably won't for 49 more but the pound of flesh will get some through.

Rocky asked the Hof to remove the perp's name from the cup......how fucking gallant of him! Betteman needed Rocky to ask for this or is it just a good deflection?

Chevy not fired

To be honest, I'm surprised. Even though the reasoning that he was the most junior there does make some sense, I think there should have been at least some censure.
Absolutely spot on....this has to do with positions of power.

I was talking to a guy who is retired from my trade and gave him a scenario based on some people that were on a large job myself and this guy worked a few years ago: to be clear, this did not happen, it's a scenario drawing on the business my friend and I are in. 21 year old kid was in our union's trainee program...his tasks are limited by his position, and he's not even in the actual apprenticeship yet. He's helping out in the tool/material shanty, and the guy running it is a foreman who has been around a while. Say he tells the kid, "You're doing a great job, let me buy you a beer after work this Friday." Mind you this is by legal definition, an adult of drinking age. So he foreman buys him 3 or 4 beers, and they're shooting the bull having a good old time. Next thing, foreman starts a little thigh rub, and when the kid resists, he starts telling him how he knows people in the union and the superintendent at the shop, and could put a good word in for the kid to get into the apprenticeship...the kid balks, and then he starts to tell him how he can use the same connections to ruin him....in that scenario, the trainee is still a 21 year old legal adult, but clearly there is a significant imbalance in the power in that situation, and a 21 year old kid, a little drunk, scared about his job, and not experienced at life in general is at a massive disadvantage, just where the predator wants him.
You get it. It's the imbalance of power and a classic move by predators. Do everything to coerce the victim into do what you want them to do and get them to shut up. Make them feel like thet have no power and you have all the power.
Wait was he full on raped or sexually assaulted? Not that it really matters, but I also feel like we should be as accurate as possible. Idk which one is correct.
I don't know the law in Illinois about this, but in the Kane scenario under New Your law, rape has to be fully penetrative sex. Assuming Beach's account in the report is true, I'm not sure about the forced oral sex, but Aldrich humping him and ejaculating on his back would not be rape, it would be sexual assault--not that it makes it any better.

I meant more in the media and the report, but yeah. I just think it's odd that that part has been totally looked past as just a normal thing that happens.

Be respectful of an organization that covered up sexual assault on one of its employees? No fucking thanks. **** the Blackhawks and everyone involved with the 2010 season.

Didn't Kane's scenario also include an accuser who was found to have tampered with evidence and falsely accused others of rape in the past?

I went back to the report because I have been confused by a lot of the praise to guys like Paul Vincent, John Tochetti, Brent Sopel, and Nick Boynton.

All of them have conflicting stories of who told them what or what they told to who.

The rumors that "everyone knew about" seems to be of either the general drugs, drinking, group sex with women or Aldrich in general wanting to "jerk off" players or "touch their genetals"

All clearly enough to remove Aldrich from the team and even as Vincent says he suggested going to the police to quietly investigate.

I am starting to believe that no one really knew of the actual assault that is described by Beach in the report.

Unfortunately at that time in society I can believe that they felt they could keep Aldrich and Beach/ Black Ace 1 who denied anything happening at every turn seperate enough to finish their Cup run.

I also think like guys like Kane and Toews paising Bowman and staff may slightly feel greatful for not having the weight of full knowledge of everything on them in that time.

I think society has progressed a lot since 2010.
Im dissapointed in the Management for not wanting to investigate further which allowed Aldrich to continue finding employment even without a written or verbal Blackhawks recommendation. It seems like Notre Dame and University of Miami Ohio acted very similarly, and the High School didn't find it odd at all that a guy in his late 20's who should be able to work anywhere is volunteering for a high school.

Everyone let this guy slip through the cracks, and the only reason police could even charge him with anything is because it was a 16 year old (consenting age in MI) but it was illegal because he was a coach.
