Getting something from him is a nice move.

The pick probably sucks, but the Bears had almost no leverage.

Marshall probably wanted to be traded to NY for media reasons.

I do not want to watch a team miss the playoffs for 8th time in the last 9 years.

Something has to change.

This is just the beginning of serious change.

Trading Cutler would have been the beginning of serious change.

This just leaves us with a hole at WR we have to address through FA or the draft.

If this is true then I'm disappointed in this regimes first real move. I'm not against trading Marshall in therory, but I would put his value more at a fourth round pick little late round pick.

I was hoping for a 4th, but they have little leverage.

Trading Marshall for a late round pick is going to be easier than finding a trade partner for Cutler imo. This doesn't mean they are not trying to trade Cutler, and it still may come.
