@Chris_Broussard: Union told NBA if suitable CP trade not made by Mon., it will pursue other options, including litigation, sources say.

Methinks it's going to be 2 changes. A S&T to eat up the Lakers TE, and the Lakers are going to have to give up a future 1st rounder, or swap some picks, like some 2nds for 1sts.

I'd be pretty surprised if Paul doesn't end up on the Lakers somehow.

Yeah, sounds about right. It will be something that makes it so the Lakers don't "save" as much money.

The saddest part is that the NBA universe is centered around MIA, the one city in all of those that doesnt even deserve professional basketball.

I know right?

They don't even support the team, unless they're winning.

Even after they got the big 3 they needed to reach out to "fans" and tell them how to act like fans.

And the Bulls are victims??? OK!!! Let's remember when some dared to dream big...as in acquiring Dwight Howard or Carmelo...people didn't want to lose Joakhim Noah and Luol Deng.

You can't have it both ways.

Dwight wasn't a need, it was a want.

So in that sense, people, including myself were justified in feeling that way. The feeling was with the lockout looming, super teams weren't going to be as easy to form as they are. New CBA, same deal for another two years.

Melo wouldn't have been a good fit here. He's allergic to defense. Granted he's a top notch scorer, but this is a defensive oriented team.

What we NEEDED wasn't superstars, what we NEEDED was a player for the two that could create his own shot to take pressure off of Rose. There is nothing wrong in that assessment.

You just like stars, no matter how they fit with the team.

I don't quite understand...

You needed someone who can create his own shot and take pressure off of Rose...Melo and Howard do that. Both of those players command double teams. So I don't understand your point at all.
