The Fields delusions have been so far off from reality, from it even being a serious consideration to stick with him this offseason, to what he's been doing in Pittsburgh (as if this is what Tomlin wants from his QB). There's been so much rationalization of every twist and turn. There's this huge blind spot with him for many fans for some reason, to the point that many are also bitter about Caleb.
Hopefully Russ struggles or somehow finds a way to let Fields get to 51% of snaps, but I also hope at some point that the reality of who Fields is will set in for everyone and it can be let go. When he's no longer a starter in the NFL beginning next season, I guess that will be when we reach that point.
It was unreal that so many fans were so adamant about sticking with a guy who isn't considered a viable NFL starter and passing on the first true franchise QB the Bears have had in many decades. Baffling stuff.
